Did anyone hear Ray Hadley talk about the Eels this morning on 2GB?

I only caught the end of it at work, he said that Roy Spagnolo chose Reni Maitua and Ando won't be coach next year.

I don't usually listen to Ray, do you guys give him any credence?

Didn't hear it, and quite frankly, I've never liked Ray Hadley.
I wouldn't think that he does.
He simply voices his opinions, and that's it.

Thanks for that. He said he had it on "very good authority" whatever that means.

I like Ray and if he's going to air with it, I reckon it might be happening.

Did he say who WILL be coaching at Parra next season? If Ando goes, maybe Ozzie's trip to Melbourne had more substance to it than Price let on on the Matty Johns Show.

No I only caught the end - can you get a copy of it on a podcast I don't know - it was about 9.30am.

All he said was that contrary to popular belief Ando didn't want Reni anywhere near the club and it was Spagnolo who wanted him and I missed why, and that Ando was going to be paid out. (Like other senior management has been).

Ray also said we will be crap next year. (or words to that effect)!

You can probably catch a re-cap of it on the 2GB website.
They generally have podcasts on the site of past shows and whatnot, so today's should be there soon if not already.

I'm wondering where his 'on very good authority' comes from to be honest.
You would presume that the most likely scenario would be a source or someone from within the club telling him these things, but who knows?

um.. interesting news. Hindy will blow his stack if Ando gets punted. I bet they do it while the players are on thier end of season trips.

I wonder if Steve Folkes would of done an OK job? He did win a premiership at the Dogs.
