A win would see us win five-straight and break a 43 year record (not bettered since we won six straight 1977-1979) against the hapless Dogs whom are well positioned for back-to-back spoons.
Not many Eels fans, other than an individual who might be participating in that miserable nadir soon enough, might not wish such pain on such bitter rivals.
Despite trying to buy their way out of trouble, the Dogs keep extending their rock-bottom reign. They have lost 49 of their last 57 games; a 14% win rate since 2020. The worst ever 3-year run in their 89-year history (1935 inception).
We have not lost to the Dogs at Accor (formerly Stadium Australia) since 2018, four years ago, winning 8 of our last 9 here against them.
