To get a perspective of just how big it really is, look how tiny the green porta-loo with the white roof looks. That in itself is taller than an average sized man.
I can't wait for it to be completed. We're gonna have our own full-sized stadium for the first time in our clubs history. Our old stadium didn't have seating that was joined all the way around yet we still had a great atmosphere when it was mostly full.
Imagine how awesome the atmosphere will be when our team runs out onto our brand new playing surface for the first time in 2019. Hopefully they'll run out as the DEFENDING PREMIERS ;)
The reason for the gap in the roof is for safety reasons due to Wanderers fans letting off flares. These dopes also want safe standing seats and will be granted a thousand.
Thing im looking forward to most is having a stadium that has ends on it that creates the big bowl to keep the noise loud, along with a roof that will amplify it too.

Parra has said they want the standing seats to be gone for their matches. They will be reconfigurable to normal seats for normal people.

This stadium will definitely raise the profile of the Parramatta Eels. Hopefully it will help us get a few big signings in the coming years.
Im dirty about how big that gap is too, when i saw the plans it was the first thing i noticed.
No worries. Yes, hopefully the gap between the roof and the top of the stands doesn't have much of a gap so that the noise can stay concealed.
