  • The only way we're going to see those sort of plays done with gusto is keeping the team together. No matter how bad we're doing we have to keep the core of the team together, this means keeping our fullback the same, our halves the same, our hooker the same and edge forwards the same. This is what will get us the confidence to do these set-plays.

As much as I want Hayne to go to the halves if he starts the year at fullback he must go through the entire season at fullback. And if Hayne is going to stay fullback as much as I'd prefer Sandow in the halves with Norman if Kelly starts then he must play the whole year in the halves. This is of course if there are no injuries.

  • I was pretty disappointed with those late barge overs,  but maybe they were related to us overmarking the decoy runners for the earlier tries? Manly are such a well-oiled machine. Gee, it would be nice to see us put together some of those kinds of plays.

  • This is what equal split halves do, they spread the defence out and they can't pick which way the ball is going to go. For the past few years we've relied on one player to do everything. We need Hayne and Norman in the halves for this reason so defences don't know which side of the field we're going to target.
