As a junior O'Hanlon displayed enormous potential. He was selected in Queensland's Under 18's team as well as the Australian Schoolboys. In 2010 he was signed to Parramatta and impressed the first grade coaching staff. He was named on an extended bench in Round 17 in 2010 but didn't play. In Round 17 of 2011 O'Hanlon made his debut, replacing an injured Jacob Loko. He is the only recorded player to have only made an appearance during a regular season game during extra time. In 2012 his career stalled somewhat due to injury and the amount of competition for spots in the forward pack.
