Gents, When it comes to Indo, it's bipartisan. Not an Albo thing.
Since Indo's 1949 independence every Aust Govt, Libs or Labour, has had some defence dialogue or co-operation with Indo. Even the Menzies Govt had some cautious training and intelligence exchanges even if it wasn't formalized agreements via Keating (1995 Security Agreement) or Howard (Lombok 2006 Agreement) despite some earlier East Timor issues. A warning for the bigger dog.
Our US and UK allies have sided with Indo since then on the whole. We followed them. Probably didn't want Indo siding with Russia-China. Also, Oz is too small to protect itself by itself. It's about pragmatic bipartisan relationships with our neighbours and allies.
Conflicts and complex land disputes we've been talking about like Gaza, Papua, and Taiwan, appear unlikely to be resolved anytime soon.
Indo like China, like the Jewish have long viewed their rights to Papua, Taiwan, and Palestine respectively especially since post-WW2 that reshaped borders, land disputes, along with independence struggles.
But these Govts need to be careful as the bigger dog in the fight, not publicly be seen as crossing the lines (which they have btw).
If some people with suitcases arrived with official documents claiming your home and those of your family in other suburbs as theirs, what would you do? Oh, sure, one sec. Give me a tick. Is it okay if I take my dog? But if you dig your heels in and a scuffle breaks out where people die at the hands of a grenade of two, your family in the cross fire, the end result is pretty predictable. Cycles of hate-and-revenge that last for generations.
Peace and co-operation is ideal, but a fragile idealism difficult to realize. The UN is largely toothless too. Human nature & all that jazz. Maybe one day.

For clarification, my point was that Albo is giving Indonesia money and weapons and they're using them to kill West Papuans. How's this any different to your claims aboit Trump directly murdering Palestinians?
I feel that you may be unintentionally be selective outraging due to Trumpaphobia.
And I didn't say you shouldn't be invested, I asked why you're invested in one and have seemingly no interest in the other , especially when the one you're not at all invested in ( which is evident as you say Albo isn't comparable with Trump ) , so you're saying that killing West Papuans on their own soil isn't as bad as Palestinians ? Why ?
You're not alone Tad , so this isn't a shot at you , we've been hearing about Palestine for how long now ? But we never hear about the poor bastards up there being kidnapped, tourtured , vanishing , murdered etc .. why ? Because it's not being marketed to us , we are pals with Indonesia , and the Tads of the world only want to hear about what Trumps doing nd not how our very own country is helping those evil little bastards up there kill West Papuans over their gold , with our very own tax dollars. I asked Tad what his thoughts were on Albo funding Indonesia's attacks on West Papuans, using Tads taxes. I also asked why Tad gets so invested in the Gaza clusterfuck but not the West Papua conflicts , and asked of it were because one is Trump and the other is the Lefty Albo gifting Indonesia weapons and tanks . Maybe Super didn't like this .
Tad and I are able to have these discussions respectfully , we have done many times . But as usual we are treated like children .
