Foot infection legitimate

Claims that Blake Ferguson's foot infection was a cover-up used to hide a drug incident, have been denied by club insiders.

The claims have been made in a text message, which has circulated the Rugby League community today.

It is understood that Ferguson's injury, which led him to be hospitalised was diagnosed by club doctors, who also oversaw treatment.

Other claims made in the text are at this point unsubstantiated, and no doubt will be investigated by the club.

Ferguson's prior record for discipline caused some eyebrows to be raised when he signed a rich three-year deal with the club, however, since joining the Eels, his effort and leadership have been praised by coach Brad Arthur. Ferguson brings some much-needed experience and power-running to an Eels backline which failed to fire in the club's 2018 wooden-spoon campaign.

  • Where’ there’s smoke, there’s fire

    • To quote Donald Trump: 'Believe me when I say this', but it depends on who's lighting the fire.

Let's not start building imaginary walls around false rumours, that we can't afford and that the Mexicans won't pay for.

Obviously, social media viruses don't abide by the "Innocent until proven guilty" legalities, but let's not assume the worst, yet. Lets use our heads first, and give the guy and our Club the benefit of the doubt.

Rumours and Chinese whispers aren't always factual.

      • Well, like Billy Joel said once " we didn't start the fire, it was always burning and the world is turning..."

        • DTLC, nice quote from the Piano Man. Wonder if he ever had ever sung 'Great Balls Of Fire'.

        • Popps, thanks for the kind words brother. Only my wife keeps saying such nice things lol. Often, what you see in others is a reflection of yourself.

You're right Popps - "mud sticks". It's the way 'common humanity' tends to roll bro. Sadly, we don't use our potential, or know of it, we'd rather be knowledgable and powerful, but it's the way it is. We also fail to see the consequences, too, by not using our bigger heads and hearts.

Hopefully, Fergo can rise above the mud, showing he's a better man. It''s only natural he'd be thinking: 'Hell, what have I got myself into, signing here'. His family and closer people might be even more damning of us.

If you start "second guessing" your place of employmment, and its environment, a place you invest more time than your family, good things rarely come out of it. It's hard to perform at your best. How could we expect him to perform like the 2018 Fergo version we bought?

A vicious cycle is created. It might even turn some to the bottle and more. Irony at its saddest.

Perhaps, like my lotus pond-plants, that need "mud" to grow, the most beautiful flowers emerge, and help life keep koi fish alive, by removing toxins - over time. Maybe, it's nature taking its natural course.

Don't know bro: we're a far more puzzling and destructive species than koi. Even koi work together, as one, to help each other. I've seen koi schools try to save the life of a struggling koi. Repeatedly. We could learn something from them if we opened our eyes.

  • Id not believe a word our club says in regards to hosing down rumours.

Not saying these rumours are true but our club and every other club covers this shit up on a monthly basis.

    • If I ask a straight question, they won't lie to me.

      • lol

      • I read a few punters were also claiming Ferguson was heavily on the booze as well, a week or so ago. Next, we'll hear about Fergo's porn video with Stormy Daniels.

        • Really hope hes going to be a bright light this year fergo, but if any club could turn mother Teresa into a depraved crack head overnight, its us.

Anythings possible, an off season with us might totally destroy him.

The end of Bevan French?

Bevan French's NRL career may need to be reborn following the start the Eels have had this season, with many of the plaudits going to Parramatta's back three of Clint Gutherson, Blake Ferguson and Maika Sivo.

The back trio have all had outstanding starts to 2019, with them totalling a whopping 2,300 running metres between them so far. All three are in the top 21 metre eaters and are the only back three of any club to appear in the top 21. For context, not a single…

Eels fall to fast finishing Roosters

The Parramatta Eels have gone down to the Sydney Roosters 32-18 at ANZ Stadium on Friday night.

It was the first loss for the Blue and Golds in the 2019 season, but a performance that signalled they're a different team to the wooden spooners of 2018.

While most pundits expected an improved performance from the Eels, few predicted the battle they would hand the reigning Premiers and World Champions.

Parramatta lost Tepai Moeroa in the warm-up, forcing…

Lifting the lid on pec tears

Image result for nathan brown parramatta eels 2019

Parramatta Eels lock Nathan Brown is the first pectoral tear casualty of the 2019 season. It's an injury that can see players sidelined for up to 14 weeks and has also become more prevalent in recent seasons.

Across 2017 and 2018, 19 players went down with pec tears.

The injury itself isn't a tear in the pectoral muscle, it's a tear in the tendon that connects the muscle to the upper arm. If the injury occurs at the muscle-end of the tendon, recovery is…
