'Like many have said here, who we bring into the country is the key'
This.
It's common sense and not rocket science.
Do you let any Joe blow into your home without knowing who they are, where they are from? If the answer is yes, then you are either a complete moron or full of shit.
We need to limit the amount of immigration, or at least slow it down considerably to give the government time to assess who we are letting in and why they are seeking to come here.

Frank, what you said is common sense mate, I doubt the Govt would follow; they only seem to after votes....T Burke for one is pathetic. He welcomed them into the airport! Piece of work he is....lets see if he sends the ones who committed these attrocities back....or whats left of them and their family.

sadly FRANKIE and without stating the obvious ... " THE HORSE HAS ALREADY BOLTED " ... God bless Australia.
This terrible event is not unexpected unfortunately. The way this government has handled the world stage , the Gaza/Palestine wars and the weekly protests has made all of us and our lives vulnarable to attacks.
The man who disarmed the son Terrorist was one of the bravest acts I have ever seen. It was a calculated move that could have went so bad and he would have lost his life instantly and many others after that. His presence of mind to grab his neck and pressure his airway and remove the firearm was unbelievable. He then had seconds to establish his safety and realise that he was a man holding a rifle at a armed offender incident and police had every right to shoot him if he appeared to be the threat.
This man was a brave Australian acting in the best interests of fellow Australians. The fact he was a muslim himself is irrelevant in those precious moments. That man should never have to work again or pay this bloody government taxes again. He should be recognised as a brave human and a proud Australian.
My thoughts are for the victims and those in care all over Sydney. The pain of this day wont just go away. This will be a where were you moment in history. The police did a good job as well. 6 Minutes to neuatralise the main threat is commendable.

But being Muslim may help in a very very small way of navigating the healing and Ahmed Al Ahmed can be the symbol of what it means to be Australian....
Well said PT, he is Australian. I reckon he would say the same....The Govt has shown its hand.....you only need to see their comments re: accepting Palesitne as a state!! Enough said.
People should not forget that isis brides were helped by the Albanese government to return to Australia, this shows once again that this government does not takes terrorism and safety of Australian's seriously .

"Question we need to ask is why are countries with open borders, invariably governed by leftist parties?
The majoiriy of Europe, Canada etc, the new shit holes. The reason they open borders is not for humane reasons (as we are led to believe), but to…"

Ahmed is that greatest hero Australia had ever seen , what a great man .
Ahmed is the Aussie we all should be or aspire to be.
Once again, religion is the biggest killer.
