This should be a great contest if it’s like the first three tests.
This is Australia’s chance for some respect with India having already reclaimed the trophy.
Handscomb in for M Marsh and Finch dropped from the side which IMO had to happen.
Should be a turning wicket and provide a bit more for the bowlers.
Go Aussies!

I’m really enjoying this test series and the fact India are level with us so far makes for an exciting Test match.
I wish we had enough depth to not pick the Marsh brothers, but it is what it is.
Apart from a GF featuring Parra the best sporting day of the year. Beers cold ready for the toss.....
Finchy to get a 100
agreed, but marsh is our best all rounder option other then stonis. And we needed a a/r for boxing day
The wicket is absolute dogsh*t. Really disappointing. You get the same bounce in the subcontinent.
I agree. It’s a shame.
Unless it breaks up a bit it seems we may be in for a no result.
Its going to be a long and hot day for our bowlers.
I actually think you might get more bounce on the subcontinent. The whole MCG wicket square is an absolute disgrace, it got a poor rating last year, if it gets another poor rating this time it could, theoretically at least, get suspended from hosting international cricket for 12 months.
It would serve the MCG Trust & Cricket Australia right for the disgraceful neglect of it's most important piece of real estate. As much as I would miss not having the cricket on Boxing Day, it might ultimately be the best thing if that happened.
Thank God for Pat Cummins.
These kind of wickets kill test cricket.
CA are absolutely retarded and are shooting themselves in the foot (financially) and the form of Test match cricket in the head.
Who the hell wants to watch a match which by the end of day 1 looks like it will end in a draw?
Not sure if you saw, but the ICC gave the Perth wicket from the second test an average rating. Sure it wasn't a perfect wicket, but the test went to the 5th day, and there were some very interesting sessions of cricket in that test. I think the problem is bigger than Cricket Australia alone.
This test looks like a replay of last season already, and it's a real shame.
At least things may be looking up for the MCG. I read somewhere recently that the wicket square is going to be rebuilt using the same structure as the Perth wicket square.
