So I've been tossing up if I was going to post this but decided to given this is obviously taking up a lot of my free time.
A month ago my wife and I welcomed our first child into the world. He's a healthy baby boy who has brought much happiness and joy to our family.
Like his dad, grandfather and great grandfather he's an Eels fan and I'd imagine one of the first, fourth generation supporters.
We're hoping to introduce him to Parramatta stadium next year, but for now he's joining me on the lounge for Eels games.
The team has also gone undefeated since he was born, so hopefully he's a good luck charm for the boys.
I'll also take this time to let you know that my grandfather passed away two weeks before my son was born. As many of you would know, he was the reason my family are Eels supporters and he supported the club from 1956 onwards.
He specifically requested that blue and gold be worn at his funeral and his treasured Eels jersey was front and centre at the service. The last game he personally attended was the opening of the new stadium and even when he was in hospital, he was scheduling the Parramatta matches in his phone so he didn't miss watching them.

Condolences for your Grandfather Super but big congrats on your baby boy :-) An elder great Eel has passed the torch to a new great Eel!
Hi Super Congrats mate
I feel like this requires an obligatory baby photo. Here he is at two weeks old, in his Eels onesie:
Happy and sad news, your grandfather sounds like a legend.
Congratulations mate, I’m sure your son will follow in his footsteps and keep your family legacy into the future.
My son and I share the highs and lows following our much-loved Eels. Our bond is only stronger sharing the good and bad times.
I’m blessed to have witnessed our club win 4 premierships; my dream is to share the euphoria of winner a premiership with my son.
The day will come and when it does, it will a memory I will treasure forever.
Rugby League is just a sport to some, but for many others, it’s a major part of their lives, the team they follow is a major part of their identity.
I have photos of my son wearing Parra colours minutes after he was born, I bought his membership the following morning. Some have accused me of child abuse, but he loves the club warts and all, and appears to be a well-adjusted teenager (-:
I have no doubt you will have the same relationship with your little man.
Congrats to you and Phil on the arrival of your lil fella . Sorry to hear about your pop . Losing a grand parent that you’ve spent your childhood with is like losing a parent .
All power, joy, freedom, abundance, etc, to you and your growing family Arthur.
