My low carb soup for diabetics

My son has been diagnosed with diabetes so I've made him some soup. I don't know much about footy but make awesome soup
1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, chopped

1 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

100g don shaved champagne ham or turkey bacon ( turkey bacon has 1/2 the carbs as ham)

1 sprinkle black pepper

8 cups water

2 turnips cut into small cubes

2 cup frozen peas

2 medium stick celery

2 carrots

Heat the oil in a large pot, add the chopped onion and garlic, cook till soft over a medium heat.

Stir in the chopped celery, ham / turkey, peas, carrots and turnips

Add the water, and black pepper.

Bring to the boil then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour stirring occasionally, until carrots, turnips and celery are tender.

You can add any other vegetables you like. Remember veggies that grow above ground are mostly low carb and below ground are mostly high carb.

      1 sprinkle Vice President pepper

8 cups Creed Virgin Island Water

      • the Trump testicles adds a lot to it Slugg..Bitter but nothing fake about it.Have to get Daz onto it

I put Heavy Rain music over a man eating a soup - YouTube

  • Sounds great

  • I dropped 28 kg in 4 months eating high carb high protein low fat diet. Ate a lot of big plates of pasta and potato based soups and just cut out the fatty meats, take away, cheese and limited my oil.  Had done my back in so could only do low impact exercise at the time. Since eating my usual diet but can exercise a bit more and have let the weight off. Find what works for you

  • Sorry to here that Slugg but if I was you I'd take out the Ham and turkey bacon, its full of carcinogen's, lean meat 200g per week, balance is essential to every diet, our bodies need a good balance of nutrition with exercise, good luck man👍

    • The ham gives it flavour. It's moderation not elimination.

"Brown is the most undisciplined player in our team in both illegalities and giving away set restarts so he will be one.
Waqa Blake rushes at spaces in defence and sticks an arm out at ball carriers running past him so he will be 2."

"I don't know who it will be but I will say at least 3 Eels players will end up in the bin and 4 on report.
The four on report will be ruled out for a minimum of 2 weeks meaning we will have 6 first grade players out against Manly.
This will be our…"

Parker ONLY ever wanted to play for the Broncos, this put him behind the 8 ball before negotiations even began.
Having a manager with good negotiation skills would have been under the pump to do a great deal…"
