Yep beautifully put.
Wiz, nice phrase: "they just ain't that smart".
Yeah, get a cave with your KKK buddies.
You reasonably point out what some black activists discuss in the US, of black on black crime, and also what opponents of violence note, that an assault is an assault regardless of colour and history.
But you're clearly wrapping all that in racism. And at some point, which has passed, but no, it's not PC to say you're a racist troll, it's just accurate to say you're a racist troll
From sheer frustration to absolute anarchy. This was allowed to vester because I believe Minnesota police commissioner or governor did not charge the pepertrator with 1st degree murder. I won't watch footage but even the other 3 policemen should have stopped him so they must take some blame too. RIP George Flood 🙏. Some good may come of this yet even their wishy washy president is a coward with no character and not fit for office. Don't shoot.
Why would the police officer be charged with 1st degree murder ? That's just total lunacy .
That Mohumad Noor who shot and killed that Aussie lady in Merica , was already under investigation for pointing his gun at a woman's head during issuing a traffic ticket , was not making an arrest of the Aussie woman , she had broken zero laws , she was actually the one who called the police , he had dialed in minutes before a " nothing to see here " code as in there was no risk in that area , and he shot and killed her point blank and then lied about the circumstances , and he was slapped with a murder 3 .
So why is this a murder 1 again ? So far doctors have attributed this as more likley to be not attributed to death by asphyxiation , but more likely his bad ticker and drugs in his system .
murder 3 is no intent , are you saying this officer intentionally set out to kill this person ? Big call , police restrain people like this every single day of the week , you see it here , you see it there , maybe it's over the top , that's a totally different topic than trying to have the world belive this is an isolated case just because he's a black criminal and not a white criminal .
The problem is , here and there , police are being trained ( and fast tracked ) into the force because they're short on numbers OR they're trying to fill diversity quotas . But as soon as something goes wrong the powers at be are throwing these officers to the wolves .
Going mental and sending candles and your prayers claiming racism is part of the problem when you don't take 5 minutes to study the statistics that will tell you this is not a race thing .
in the last 3 years 50% more whites have been shot to death by police .
https://www.statista.com/statistics/585152/people-shot-to-death-by-...
Have you ever heard of Daniel Shaver ? Yeah thought not .
while black police only represent 12ish % they represent pretty much equally to scale their share of killings in the feild as their white counterparts . So there's nothing to see here either .
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6080222/
there is literally no data to support this as a race thing . All we have are Trump haters jumping on the bandwagon to make this political by claiming racism .
Very.
I'm thinking of changing my avatar.
Mushie I am pretty sure there was anti vaxxer rallies in Sydney and Adelaide? Anyway I just read on Panthers Facebook they had 10 free tickets for Panthers game and they gave them to families of Knights debutantes. You would think they would at least let them win with that gesture
Mushroom apparently it did not make most news on television. The one in Sydney was pretty big. I think one in Brissy too. There is an anti vaxxer website I follow. The truth is out there but they don't want public to know. The Truth About Cancer website are anti vaxxer too. This is why I don't watch TV news they want brain washed majority to be ignorant.
The protests across the entire country were all big Keet - but hey it looks bad for Scumboy if it hits the news.
Estimated over 3,000 in Brizzy with Sydney over twice the size.
Melbourne around 4500 - 5000, Adelaide 2000 or close to with Perth about the same.
Like I said, the original organisers are not anti vaxxers but they (AVs) did join in with fringe (look at me) wanna be politicians.
Cops and ASIO in all the crowds getting Facial recognition information (obviously for our own safety) - quite funny to watch some of them actually.
I haven't read through this thread and taken in all your various opinions. Please excuse my ignorance to yours but please, at least hear mine.
I am married to an African American woman. I met her on YouTube of all places - where she was being attacked by a bunch of 'good 'ol boys'. That was back in 2015.
She uprooted her life (she owned her own home and had a great job with JP Morgan Chase) and we now share our lives together here in a suburb of Sydney.
I didn't own a home. I didn't own anything. My family don't 'need' me, but, as hard as it was for her to give up her home, her job, her pets, her family - she decided my job was worth more, so she uprooted herself to come to Australia.
Tonight, we had a fight. The reason we fought was because when that silly white woman called the cops on the black man in Central Park, she said (at the time) that she used the weapon that is the NYPD to potentially take the life of a black man.
I thought, at that time, and until tonight, that whilst there's clearly a racial problem in the US, she was engaging in a degree of hyperbole. When I heard the opinion of a white pyschiatrist who backed up her opinion tonight, she kicked off at me! She said that I don't believe what she says unless others back of her theorem.
Now, why I'd like not to agree with her opinion on this point, I was clearly naive on this occasion.
And that's what many of you are guilty of too. Naiviety!
It is not a criticism of any single one of you (or me) who are white to accept and acknowledge that we enjoy a degree of priviledge that black folks don't. They don't enjoy it developing countries and they don't enjoy it developed countries. They certainly don't enjoy it in the USA.
What we can do, however, is show a little empathy and compassion and hold out our hands to our brothers and sisters of different races and cultures.
For those that don't know recent history, see below. Don't take offence to it, nor feel ashamed. Just accept that if this shit happened to you and yours, you'd be seriously pissed!

For the wogs like me on this forum - our Mums and Dads copped it. I'm not going to mention any names - you know who you are - so we should be the most understanding!
For those of you on this forum that can find an excuse for the current method of policing in the US - particularly towards people of colour, you are quite simply bereft of a moral compass and are utterly poor excuses for human beings.
I'm going to leave it at that - and I won't return to this thread. Because I can't. I hope you all understand. I can't hear criticisim of this opinion because it will feel to me like a criticism of my wife - and I can't abide by that. So, I'll have to get y'all next time ;-)
There's no excuse for riots and anarchy, but, it's got to a point where folks clearly feel like there's no other choice - and it's kinda hard to argue with that. Hopefully, real leaders rise and take control of this anarchical situation such that genuine change can be enacted.
In the meantime, I hope everyone goes to bed tonight. Hug their loved ones and chooses to be the good person that exists in all of us.
Thank you Poppa. I appreciate your perspective.
