Christchurch attacks

In 2009 I had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful city of Christchurch. Despite the bitter cold I consider it to be the most charming city in NZ, and after the earthquakes of 2011 & 2016 it seems almost cruel that this beautiful part of the world would suffer in such a way.

I'd like all 1EE'ers to join me in sending their condolences and prayers to the people of Christchurch and all of NZ.

Be assured that whilst these appalling attacks were carried out in NZ, they are targeting all free peoples. The best defence is to continue to live free.

That is all.

                    • Sorry gents, just re-read the posts, I've misinterpreted and mis-read a few things. Apologies. Chalk it up to over excitment during the eels win.

                    • Lol, cheers mate :)

                    • Don’t worry Magpie , I have given up trying to work out this new format. I have to do about 15 clicks just to find where I left my last post .  Phil should be putting money in our accounts to do a IT course to navigate this new set up .

Im starting to think we have all victims of cyber terrorists and Phil is the Bin Laden .

                    • On another note , and NZ events aside .  Did anyone watch that Jim Jefferies clip I posted ?

Whether youre right or left leaning , you must admit he is a grubby hypocrite of epic proportions . Now the SJWs , The Lefts , The Rights and everyone in between are flodding his Facebook page with hate comments .

Perfect example of someone in the news and media presenting a fake personality to promote themselves .  If Avi hadn’t secretly recorded that interview , imagine how bad he would’ve looked . Jim could’ve ruined him completely and walked away looking like a saint .  I honestly believe that anyone in the media caught out doctoring footage with intent to harm should be charged and banned from media work . That’s the sort of shit that can get someone attacked or killed .

    • Muslims have to prepare for burial pretty much straight away and be burried as soon as possible according to their faith, no embalming or cremating is permitted.

So the early digging of graves is normal in islam.

      • Yes but when does religion take priority over an investigation ?  As bad as it may sound , the police enquires and study of the bodies must come before what people believe about an imaginary freind in the sky .

What if they miss a crucial piece of evidence whilst they’re rushing to get these bodies in the ground at lightning speed .

        • Some good points Wiz, i can only presume that they have to follow the laws of the land and wait till all that stuffs over.

        • Well the obvious question Wiz, would they give a bunch of Christians the same consideration ?

          I very much doubt it.

          • We shall find out what this show pony woman’s stance is on Christians being attacked . Surely she will be making an offical statement and swap her head scarf for a cross today after the priest was attacked in his church ?

  • Being here and going to the vigil at the Basin Reserve yesterday afternoon I have to say it’s brought Kiwis of all foreign races alot closer together.

I’m not a religious person myself but I have to say what went on down in CHCH was just a inhumane act that just can’t be condoned or accepted.

The govts about to drop the hammer on semi automatic weapons and I think legislature will be in place in the next 7 days.I’m a huge fan of this there acting not talking about it.

Sorry my Aussie Parra brothers but incoming I’m hoping we deport the guy and he doesn’t see his sentence on this side of the Tasman. You guys can have him.

"The thing about this game that is curious and worrying to me is are Wests the real deal or was last week just a mood. I tipped Wests to beat Cronulla last week for a few reasons. 1) Was not convinced on Cronulla's past 2 performances where they were…"

"Sivo is back this round.
Lomax doesn't want to play wing at the Dragons so I doubt he would come here to play the same position.
He would replace Harper.
1. Gutho
2. Sivo
3. Lomax
4. Penisini
5. Russell
That would be the best backline we have had…"
