If that  dolphins player who went for a head assessment gets ruled out you know the game is rigged ."

"We've got to stop running AT! The line looking to offload, run through the fucking line.
We fall into this habit of running at the line looking to create before gaining momentum and our sets become rubbish .
Body's in motion hit the defensive line…"

"Seriously, hate how this team does not play to the whistle. Just stop on plays where they think whistle will blow. How Katoa made 20 metres then is inexcusable."

Sean Russell

Does nothing at first grade level .Makes the wrong defensive decision first question he's asked that needed a try saver from Gutho .. oh hey Sean we need you to kick this week do you reckon you could kick it from next to the post ? FMD you cannot carry blokes like that .think you could carry the ball in your right arm diving for a try on the right wing ? Nah can't finish either. Dead set

Dragons and Lomax

Lomax absolutely killing it tonight. 2 point FG, try, throws a 20m cut out pass to put Suli away unmarked. There is no way Flanagan is letting Lomax go this year while they are winning games and Lomax having the impact he is. Flanagan and the dragons are building plenty of confidence in winning games.

Game Day Blog - Eels vs Dolphins

I'm in Cairns and it's very hot and humid here, so I can imagine what Darwin is like and how the boys are feeling!Tonight we see the Eels take on Benny's boys in our annual home game in the Territory. Recent years have been unsuccessful for the Eels copping a couple of touch ups and hopefully this year is different. The Dolphins have their best 3 players out and even with Moses out, there are no excuses for BA and the team.I'm looking forward to seeing how Talagi is used from the bench if he is…

GUTHERSON BLAIZES A TRAIL FOR TALAGI AT NO.1 Fatima Kdouh - in Darwin Parramatta coach Brad Arthur has anointed boom rookie Blaize Talagi as the long-term successor to Clint Gutherson at fullback.Talagi, the brightest prospect at the Eels, has played most of his junior representative football at five-eighth and centre but the youngster has now told Arthur he has ambitions to wear the No.1 jersey.Last year, Arthur revealed the club was searching for an X-factor fullback that could see skipper…

Brad and Bennett

Why Friday's clash with the Dolphins might be a tipping point for Arthur and the EelsMike Meehall WoodEditorROAR Friday night’s clash between Parramatta and the Dolphins is likely to be a hot one – and not just because the game is being held in the Northern Territory. It sees Brad Arthur meet Wayne Bennett, the man who many are tipping to replace him, at a time when his side are somewhat bumbling along.Bumbling is fine – the Eels are 3-3 – but not when you’re over a decade into your role at a…

NRL admits bunker got it wrong on roosters obstruction call

Graham Annesley has conceded a controversial obstruction call that cost Roosters star Joey Manu a fair try against the Panthers was wrong. The NRL head of football has wasted no time conceding that video referee Chris Butler failed to use the necessary level of discretion in incorrectly deeming that Panthers fullback Dylan Edwards was obstructed from defending the no-try due to a collision with Roosters decoy runner Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. The alleged obstruction from Waerea-Hargreaves on…

Nuclear Power a Balanced View

I previously wrote a blog on the subject of nuclear power.Professor Daz basically took my comments apart and justifiably so as I had nowhere near the knowledge or research capacity to lay a factual basis for the proliferation of nuclear power other than a view I privately held via an economist friend of mineI receive a lot of economic commentary and a newsletter I receive from another economist paints what I believe to be a more balanced view of the discussion. I say this because Daz pointed…
