Steel be with you replied to LB's discussion Jamal Fogarty bicep injury, do we use Sanders as leverage?
"I think Canberra could tell Simonsson wasn't going to cut it long term. That is why they let him go effective immediately even though he was still contracted for another couple of years with them. Similar with Waqa Blake, he had three years left…"

"Him saying it's an attitude problem is like saying we will be taxed and die. It's as obvious as obvious as anything's ever been.  We've had an attitude problem for decades.  In my opinion it's because

JB. Prints of Parra replied to LB's discussion Jamal Fogarty bicep injury, do we use Sanders as leverage?
"Simonsson 'decent job', really? The guy is barely first grade material. He isn't all there, you can see the cogs spinning in his head. Not saying being a professional athlete is easy, but there is so much more out there. The only hope for Simonsson…"

"Luais a great example. Many on here will say he's shit and overated , blah blah blah, but he's leaps and bounds more effective than Brown on a week to week basis . But dare say Browns overated and wow, won't you go down like a lead baloon. It's…"

LB replied to LB's discussion Jamal Fogarty bicep injury, do we use Sanders as leverage?
"Letting a good talent go, well he is going anyway why not get something in return as oppose to letting him leave for nothing. Can fix our backline issue. We need one Winger, maybe a second to compete. Simonsson has shown he can do a decent job. Get…"

LB replied to LB's discussion Jamal Fogarty bicep injury, do we use Sanders as leverage?
"Asomua may not be speedy but he would be that workhorse out the back we are lacking. He suits how BA wants to play, he would help those forwards. I would try hard to get Savage, i know it is a pipe dream but desperation can hit, Asomua can replace…"

"I'm not too sure he's too slow for the wing if he's positionally smart. He's faster than Sivo that's for sure. My issue is he'd have to surrender the captaincy , and he's on a motza contract to be sitting on the wing. We are hamstrung with…"

Frank The Tank replied to LB's discussion Will Manly be smarting next week?
"I reckon this current side might just beat Manly next week such is the Jekyll and Hyde nature of this squad.
BA will be the headliner this week so expect a lift from the players to delay his ass pounding."

Jamal Fogarty bicep injury, do we use Sanders as leverage?

If both Asi and Gutho are out v Manly, BA seemed to think Asi is fine as their doctor claimed category 2, Sanders might be needed to debut as we have Talagi at 1. But if we do need him it will be for one week. Fogarty could have torn his bicep, now if that is the case they need a 7 as they do not have on in NSW cup. They would be desperate, so way i see it surely we can give them Sanders early in exchange for a back, a position they are loaded at. Many to choose from:Xavier SavageNick…

Will Manly be smarting next week?

Perhaps could be the first team to lose to Gold Coast this year, back home at Brooky they will be smarting hard. Do we have the mental capacity to keep up or will we give up when gets tough? They have shown weakness on their right edge, though with speed. That we do not have. This upcoming game i think is crucial more than ever for BA particularly going into a bye week. Manly have shown to let points in but man they can score them.

A MESSAGE FROM THE FONG

While you all have feelings of rage and disappointment regarding the hapless eels and the fools who are involved with the club you should all take a step back and count your blessings .  Today I met the partner and father of the woman and baby who got stabbed in Bondi junction , I have never seen the type of sadness and devastation in a man's eyes and facial expression like I saw today and I hope I never do . This poor soul doesn't know if he should be devastated that his wife got murdered or…

MAJOR CHANGES NEEDED!

I believe the Eels need to change the way they do things. Everywhere from identifying and developing juniors through to the running of the NRL squad. There is nothing I hate more than seeing Eels juniors succeeding at other clubs in positions our NRL side is struggling. I really struggle to understand how the Eels can regularly win junior rep competitions yet continue to struggle at the top grade.  Who and when have the Eels had top quality players at either half-back or hooker that came…

NRL admits bunker got it wrong on roosters obstruction call

Graham Annesley has conceded a controversial obstruction call that cost Roosters star Joey Manu a fair try against the Panthers was wrong. The NRL head of football has wasted no time conceding that video referee Chris Butler failed to use the necessary level of discretion in incorrectly deeming that Panthers fullback Dylan Edwards was obstructed from defending the no-try due to a collision with Roosters decoy runner Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. The alleged obstruction from Waerea-Hargreaves on…

Nuclear Power a Balanced View

I previously wrote a blog on the subject of nuclear power.Professor Daz basically took my comments apart and justifiably so as I had nowhere near the knowledge or research capacity to lay a factual basis for the proliferation of nuclear power other than a view I privately held via an economist friend of mineI receive a lot of economic commentary and a newsletter I receive from another economist paints what I believe to be a more balanced view of the discussion. I say this because Daz pointed…

What is everyone's preferred BBQ meat choice?

So Sunday, to celebrate the start of a new season, i am hosting my mates with a BBQ, pool table, darts and man cave while watching the Vegas matches.
