They act like Guymer is some lazy bloke with a high ego. He is trying his best. Half the time he was covering for Moretti and Tuilagi who were too lazy to even be in a position to make the tackle attempt
I think Guymer at this stage in attack offers not that much but he is far from a liability. At the moment that's what we need as in defence he is solid.
This was Russell a year ago. This time last year more than half This site said Russell was RM cup level. It's like people forget that young players get better with age and experience. For a lot of young players 50 games is about the mark players excel.
He's already had some good games in first grade and he's not even 22. With age and experience comes consistency. Guymer will be a quality first grader.

We've discussed this on the podcast before. Guymer is 21 and has managed to play first grade since the age of 19. Liam Martin didn't even debut until he was 22 and was 24 when he made his Origin debut.
Sweet Jesus, Guymer has played fewer than 30 first grade games and is still years away from his physical peak. He competes hard when he's out on the field and that's the best base for a long NRL career.
"Thank the heavens. If we were really going after Suli I was about to lose it. It made absolutely zero sense to me.
if we can get 2 out of McClean, Jenkins, Leniu or Burton (playing center) I'll be happy."

Guymer 21st man
So Guymer is now the brunt of jokes since Penisini is out. New punching bag activated.

You forget EA. Players 20-30 on our squad should be equivalent to Australian internationals or we are failing with our squad and they are useless.
Exactly

Apparently if the young blokes don't don't take the game by the scruff of the neck they just suck....harsh crowd
