While the eels put in a excellent performance against the storm a few weeks back and beat the Knights last week it will mean absolutely nothing of they get lapped tonight .
If Parra can push the the Panthers the Panthers all the way and go down fighting it will show that the eels have finally turned a corner , this is the game where certain players need to stand up , but what happens if the eels get lapped? What will it say and show ?

If they get beat trying their hardest without any influence from the refereeing or bunker and get beat by the better team on the night then that's fine in my opinion. I think the Eels will be much more hungrier for a win than the Panthers. A shame this isn't the actual Grand Final being played in Sydney.
I will be gob smacked if we play poorly tonight I just don't see it happening
We have fresh legs confidence and belief - I'm expecting a terrific game and a tight result either way - we can beat this mob and I believe we will
Precisely.
100% me too bro but how many times have we waited all week for a big game n they come out uninterested?
I don,t know if the game will be tight. There have been a number of games where the scores have blown out which we considered would be tight..Penrith has a good defense consistently.. Ours is good sometimes. A few errors in defense and the game is all over..I hope we can put up a Storm-type mental discipline game we can play sometimes.
Tad I was trying to reply to one of your comments on another blog but that blogs been closed. I agree 1000% with that last comment - I'm glad you are beginning to see the slide society has undertaken these last few years...
Frank I was not trying to make it into a political thing.Trying so hard to be neutral around a big issue has been going around. It seems we can only talk about footy which is the opium of the masses..Hec I am trying to get away from one anxiety {the game tonight} and fallen into another one..I wonder if we can discuss left and right attack in Frankies blog or will it gets closed.? I don,t mind attitudinal type blogs provide we all try and understand others' points of view..That rarely happens. but one day there may be a coming together before too much damage is done..
Let's hope this game tonight brings us together.A short feel-good moment is something we all need as Parra supporters
Socialist USA congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez @AOC (not wearing a mask) gets a warm & exciting reaction from fans as she exits the $30,000 per ticket Met Gala event while a masked worker carries her long dress (printed with “Tax The Rich”) so it is not dirtied on the New York street. She departs with her entourage. pic.twitter.com/Bgoqj0qgVa
A California-based anonymous street artist has pointed out that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ dress design is strikingly similar to her art work that recently went viral on TikTok.
The artist, known as “The Velvet Bandit” pointed out the similarities in an Instagram post.
The dress was created by designer Aurora James and worn by AOC to the $30,000-per-ticket Met Gala.
In the Instagram post, The Velvet Bandit wrote “Look familiar?” and tagged the congresswoman saying that she “stepped out at the Met Gala wearing a dress designed by @aurorajames that looks hella similar to my design,” with a shocked face emoji.
There's a lot to consider and many different scenarios.
Say it's been one hell of a contest, super tight, big defence and pure finals footy for 70 minutes. There's 8 points in it with 10 minutes to go and Penrith score effectively putting the game out of reach and the season over. I've seen this scenario heaps of times. Penrith then run in a few late tries and the score doesn't reflect the contest. My point is it's not just the score but how we play.
Anyway I see a close one tonight. I get the feeling our boys won't die wondering and if it's close Penrith could blink first. Huge pressure on them.
We need to analyze the performance after the match & support the team whilst we're still with a chance of making a gf playoff.
