Well Done Eels Marketing Team

All members would have received the opportunity to participate in a game day experience.

I chose the match warm up experience, 35 minutes on the field watching our warm-up, up and personal, photo opportunities and autographs. How good is that? And for $100.00 per person, I bought 4 spots.

My son is over the moon, my daughter wants a selfie with Mitch Moses, my wife couldn’t give a shit and me, I’m looking forward to hearing the chat and feeling the intensity before the game build-up.

Well done Parra, great incentive and great way to bring fans closer to the club.

    • Maybe they'll only be allowed near the players that get cut from the final 17...hahaha

    • Hi Poppa, all great questions, none of which I have an answer for. I also wondered how many others will be in the group, I didn’t think to ask.

I doubt we would be interferring, I can’t image getting to close to the players. I assume the players will mingle with the fans after warm up. My son wants to catch a Moses pass, I doubt that would happen but you never know. The things we do for kids.

I’ll take photos and report my experience after the game.

  • on mitchs hes uncle ben was on fox last night hes going for manly to belt parra  ....strange  right , its about time fox sports replace theses has beens with younger talented players...

      • No we wouldn’t want any injuries at training before Sunday’s game to happen to Manly either lol .

  • That is a good marketing ploy

  • lol Poppa, my wife does have a thing for Moses, she’s no chance as my daughter also has a crush on Moses. My daughter has a 30-year advantage, my wife needs multiple Botox treatments before she stands a chance.

I’m safe for now, I called my wife a dirty old cradle snatcher, she agreed but it won’t stop her from embarrassing myself and my kids, my wife is a proud, loudmouth extrovert with no shame. I don’t think our marketing team is ready for wife, look out for an average heighted looking wog with 2 kids with a tiny but full beans wife making a total arse of herself.

On the serious side of things, I’d like to think our players are professional enough to deal with a bunch diehard fans looking for a chance to get close and personal with their beloved team.

      • Smile Poppa, you don't know my wife, she drives a car I can't really afford, I work half day Saturdays to cover hair and nail appointments, not to mention skin treatments. She only has two feet, but you wouldn't know it by her shoe collection.
Why is it that a woman can't be seen in the same dress twice? I've worn the same jeans for 20 years!
She's happy, the only reason I could give her for packing her bags is to cancel her credit cards and stop paying her car repayments.
But she’s a great mum, my kids don’t go without, she tirelessly spends my money on them. Oh, only yesterday she enrolled my daughter in Whitehouse next year, a creative and design college, looks like I’ll be working Sundays too.
We eat well when I cook or when she orders takeaway, and the house is always spotless thanks to Sonia, our twice a week house cleaner.
I think you get the picture (-:

        • Joseph, Sounds like your wife and kids are lucky to have you.

          • Thanks HOE, we are lucky to have each other. I'm the sole bread winner of my family but my wife is the homemaker and the glue keeping our family in harmony. Women never get enough credit for their unpaid efforts.
My daughter's best friend’s father raised his daughter on his own, his wife did a runner when she was born. He works his backside off to afford a private education and clearly, he was able to offer her the nurturing required to raise a well adjusted and caring human being.
This is a man I take my hat off to. A more impressive and ambitious young lady you would not meet.

  • Sounds like a good idea from the club, good blog Joe.

Anything to offer the fans a chance to get a bit closer to the action on game day within reason, is a good idea.

$100 bones sounds ok, better than spending $100 on one of our shit current jerseys.

"I wonder if the have Lomax on Right and move Penisini to left. Penisini is a Centre that can adapt, where Lomax has the pass that has him needed on the right.
But I think Lomax would be happy as long as it is Centre in a good team."
