TPJ

Last night Pangi took on a pack of rep players and terrorised and intiminated them.  He is the complete player, big, agressive and brutal, good in both attack and defence. Add to that his skillset of soft hands and a stepping ability to break up defenses. Both Taumololo and Macguire will attest to the ferociousity of his hits. It looked like his mission last night was to keep Taulomolo quiet and he did that in spades, eventually putting on a huge hit that caused an MCL injury. This was an unintended and unfortunate consequence of the brutality of his defence.

He is the sort of player we've been crying out for years now and I reckon we should throw the bank at this player. Adding a player of his ability to our pack will completely transform it into a top 4 pack.

    • Does he want to become an Eel though .that is the Question

  • How good was he last night. Raging bull. Will look good in a blue jersey this year.

  • Last week it was Taumololo's turn for idol worship, next week Pangai might get owned by the opposition.

A lot of his tackles were third man in and high (shoulder/chest area) so look more impressive when you are hitting a bloke who is basically already stopped.

His hit on Taumololo to cause the injury was more than a bit cowardly imo as JT was already effectively tackled.

That said - yes - he does have talent in other areas that make him noticeable.

    Hitting small players works too.

    • Agree the amount of late hits and no arm shoulder tackles he got away with last night was disgusting.   That said he is big, powerful and talented.  Just don't know why the refs  put the whistle away on him yesterday.

  • We can only dream. He come to us

  • That's the first game I've seen him play where he has made a real statement. Definete rep player if he keeps that up and gets better. Throw everything at him Parra.

    • Yep. We ve got the money. Get him. For those who criticise they dont understand footy. Just him standing out there changes the game.

  • He has always had potential however has struggled with injuries so would prefer see him string solid season together before spending huge money on him.  Plenty good fowards would come cheaper such as Jai Arrow for Titans who won't get wraps of JT or TPJ however just nearly reached 300 run metres after such a big deal was made of TPJ making 300m.  Will be interesting to see what wraps and attention Arrow gets being from Titans and out of broncos spotlight.

    • Jai arrow is the most underrated forward in the comp IMHO. Tough goes all day plays through the pain barrier. More importantly his best game is not far away from his bad game.
