Brad arthur it's his team and there lies the problem we face.
Which pack looks better as we look to the future? . Most of the people we have are pretty much almost done.
Where was the succession plan? There was none.
There should have at least Bern a mix of keeping the young guns, and getting rid of some older guys.
If we had kept 3 or 4 of the younger guys, we'd be in a very good position right now.
Now we're left with 6 30 year old forwards. What a fuck up arthur

He didn't actually all we had to be better at was winning the ruck.If you bothered to look when we were doing this 20-22 we were actually in the top 4 defensively in the nrl but since you didn't bother to take that into consideration I guess you come up with that as a response.
Utokimanu 24....... Would not take him now, his price was rediculous when he left and still is.
Mahoney 24...........Would only have kept him in hindsight but his price was over the top, unhappy player, never got on with Moses. Who do you want Moses or Reed?
Hughs 23............... Nothing to see here
Papalili 26.............. We would of all liked to keep him but we would have paid big overs, form with Tigers showed it wasn't a bad decision
Nikure 27................ Always going home to NZ he would have given an arm to stay with the Arthurs
Khafusi 24.............. Nothing lost here
What was the point of this exercise? other than showing again what a "troll" you are!
I am not sure on Moses and Reed disliking each other. They seemed fine at a wedding last year where Reed was mucking around with them. Both were laughing and near each other a fair bit. Unless it was professionally.
You said that before LB and I can't remember seeing Reed there. I am sure they didn't get on the playing field and many noticed that...... how many did you have at your wedding that truth be told you couldn't stand? Usually on the brides side I would have thought......do you have a mother in law? LOL
Calm down.
No one is arguing we need that we need turnover to keep the squad at maxiumum effectiveness. 30 isn't that old particularly for middles. However the issue is (as always the issue is) with money. We have some serious coin tied up into our middles which effects other positions.
On the subject of those who left they all left for more cash. In some instances they left for ALOT more cash. Niukore is apparently on 850k, Ice on $750k. Their new clubs are not getting value at all. It's a balancing act for sure. I'm excited by Guymer, I have faith in Hands, Hopgood is only getting better. All is not lost.
BA was all about himself & his sons getting a go in 1st grade.
Like the time during a presser his wife calls him & he answers what a softy put your phone on silent
you woulsnt see that from Bennent, Bellamy, Robbo or Cleary hence why teir teams are where they are.
Parra should of let him go end of last year simple
Maybe Lomax shouldn't have gone round to BAs for that home cooked dinner should have waited for Ryles to recruit him much like he tried in his retention exercise with Talagi and failed.
BA has his faults I don't think recruitment and development are either of them.
I do agree with that last part Coryn. Many here knock the hell out of him, but he had things about him as a coach that were definate positives. The way the squad as a whole was pretty tight for that long is a testament to how liked he was. So many coaches over the years go stale a lot quicker and BA was able to keep players happy for a very long time. Players have always said how he made them feel to get them to the club, Shaun Lane when he signed for example said he felt comfortable with BA.
Ryles losing Talagi is a negative on him so far. Holmes i think we give benefit of the doubt as not 100% he actually met with Holmes or was even keen. I want to see into 2026, with the warchest, to judge his player recruitment ability,
I mean losing Talagi we should have been more proactive around keeping him never letting it getting to that stage.I don't think that's a blight on Ryles at all id be looking at our R and R committee that's there job.Ryles was basically the last straw to rescue the situation. If managed correctly it never goes that far.
In short I don't see it as a blight on Ryles at all.
Its just our club doing what our club does.
Its just like how all these contracts were structured coming off all at once 2 years ago. That's another blight on the sporting structure of this club it's a losing one.
