There should have at least Bern a mix of keeping the young guns, and getting rid of some older guys.
If we had kept 3 or 4 of the younger guys, we'd be in a very good position right now.

This again proves that Brad arthur was all about the present and his job security. He never gave two stuffs about the future of the cub. It was all about himself. Hence there needs to be a big clean out. .

Scottie is right. We had Jai Field on the roster in 2020, and we let him go so Jake could be first choice backup half in 2021. Jai Field is an absolute weapon and has been tearing up the superleague for years now. If Jai Field was on the roster in 2021 and 2022 instead of Jake, our results would undoubtedly be better
Jai Field was totally out of his depth when playing for us the way the game was played back then. He is well suited to ESL with his blinding speed. Brett French was a much better prospect and footballer and again he was not suited by the game then. French is a player that could come back and be a sensation with the current speed of the game.
Unfortunately BA failed Frenchie and the most specific reason was that he did a posterior ligament and had it removed. He lost pace and his swerve subsequently because he was rushed by BA. Built it up again in ESL. Another player we fcuked up was Tepai Moreoa who had nerve damage in his shoulder/chest. He was only 20 at the time and had the potential to be the best forward in the game. His injury was not rested and BA played him through the pain and literally stuffed him up. Sir Col the Great and me were really pissed off with BA over this. As I said BA was an autocrat that meant well but delivered some horrible judgements.
Chief that is pure rubbish. We had 2 teams a first grade side and a SG ball side. We had a massive gap in age between the 2 as we had neglected our pathways for so long. The SG ball team was a couple of years away from being ready to fill the gaps. What we lacked was a couple of fast experienced outside backs. Arthur's Signing of Lomax solved one of these issues. But key injuries to the outside backs cost us dearly especially Dunster, Russell, Richard Penisini and Arthur Miller Stephens pretty much wiped out the depth. Our issue is as Parramatta we have to pay a little more than other clubs as we are terrible at third party deals. Jennings getting done for drugs also lost us experience right at a critical time in our transition. You can only buy players that are available for sale and a number of these fell through in the main due to players wanting to remain in QLD and the 4th Qld team taking players out of the market. What we did not want to do was sign players that blocked the pathway of the SG ball team. Last years winning SG ball team is effectively the first team through on the pathways system. I would love to know from each of the players leaving if the would have stayed under Arthur. PS have you looked at the Super League results?

If our 30 year old forwards didn't work hard enough in the pre-season that's on them. They are senior players ffs. Most of them get paid more than the coach.
