  • Mitch wanted to play, Parra staff said No.

Ryles said in presser he would be alright to play this coming weekend and origin isn't until a few days later.

It sux for Parra but it has happened before and will happen again.  It is to be expected when origin is mid season.

  • I don't understand why this is such a hard concept to understand. Moses wasn't fit to play on Monday! Origin is 9 days after Monday.  Imagine he plays and tears his hammy completely. It sucks but it is what it is.

Also, playing through a shoulder injury can be managed through injections. You can't play through a dodgy hammy.

    • What Eels95 said.

Also what most people should know anyway. Shoulder vs Hamstring are different beasts. Which anyone who has strained/torn a hamstring and anyone who has tweaked something in their shoulder knows. Or put differently, the shoulder is literally designed to be resilient but the hamstring is forced to over-stretch hence is more vulnerable to re-injury.

    • It still possible to happen playing Origin.

  • The obvious fact of he would be playing this week if not for origin means hes fit.

Also Critta as an individual has won origins and premierships he is motivated to be the guybthat changes things for the Dogs.

Moses will never win a comp (unless he switches club's) origin and international games are a higher priority at this point of his career

  • We didn't need Moses in the side to win yesterday.

Too many players in our side making silly errors or simple mistakes cost us the game, it's typically the same players each week too.

It's about time those players were held accountable and dropped.

    • Who?  and for who.

      • That's a good point.

  • I think it's a very poor decision by Mitchell Moses, the club and coach. I know some are saying that the Eels season is basically done and dusted but seriously the Bulldogs season hasn't been looking too great either and yet Critta plays for the Dogs with an injury.

I think it kind of shows where Mitchell Moses loyalty and commitment really are focused. If Moses gets injured playing Origin like he has previously then he will likely sit for extended time on the sidelines like previously. I think the Eels club particularly recruitment need to get their act together and start looking for some quality players including a halfback.

Even if Moses played some of the game it would have helped with his leadership and presence on the field. Doesnt make sense

      • Not as much as you obviously🤣
