Set Restarts + Are Ruining the Game

I'm sure not everyone will agree but in my personal opinion Set Restarts in particular are destroying the game and allowing the referee to basically control the outcome of games. Combine the Set Restarts with diabolical refereeing and bunker calls then the whole fairness of Rugby League has long gone. Seriously today's game was disgraceful refereeing ( yes the Eels made some poor mistakes and the younger players are still learning) but a 10-1 penalty count and not 1 repeat set 🤣. This seems to be a continual report on 85% of refereeing of the Eels games. In my opinion the Eels hierarchy need to speak up about the appalling referee and bunker calls. It's not only the Eels coping it but it seems the lower placed teams get the raw end of the stick. Ricky Stuart isn't afraid of speaking up when things go against his team with refs. About time the Eels did the same or they'll continue to be the NRL doormat team

Notice he hasn't called anyone a Dylan Brown "hater " recently even though 99% of the site have been critical of him ?  This time last season he was following me around like my arshole was distributing free Werthers Originals , if I dared say Dylan had a quiet game .

Ploppa is like the sites pub blowfly fighter , that bloke who needs to stand behind the big blokes trying to pick fights with the unpopular guy he knows he'll get backup from the group  .

        • People who work for organizations, companies etc are made up of all types of personalities. It's a known fact that just like the Pommy the Aussie likes a good old fashioned 'whinge' and they're not always stating actual facts in their 'whinging' but most times distorted views or misinformation . I wouldn't read too much into it.

          • I completely agree Cumberland. Companies have all types and you are right in most cases it is just venting of frustrations. As much as a certain person may think Im too naive to notice or understand this, im well aware of the personal bias that influences information.

For me, when I hear the same thing from multiple facets within an organisation, then Im more inclined that it may hold weight to what is being said. I chose to share, its up to the individual whether there is validity to it or how much they want to read into it.

I appreciate the civility in our discussion

            • You know whats fascinating, these things coming out after a "big defeat" its like all the grubs decide there is some rotten flesh, so off they go again.

Are you really interested in following Parra or just there for the bags of shit to lie in.

              • Another attempt to discredit?

Mate Ive kept my mouth shut the majority of the season and lets be honest we've had quite a few big losses this season. Have I jumped up and down screaming about sacking the coach staff? If I have offered anything about players, I have said things that have been after poor performances. I have critiqued MON and R&R and the handling of BAs sacking - even though I agreed his time was up. No no, I have an 'agenda' because I make statements you dont agree with

I guess the fact I want something more from a club other than another wooden spoon means Im a hater.

            • You could very well have correct information from your sources but I guess time will tell. Nothing has been leaked from the media as yet and they're usually the first mob to sniff out any inner turmoil especially with Parra. I'd be surprised if there's anything in this other than Mills missing his expertise in areas he's more trained and experienced in within Rugby Union

      • Maybe he's more used to Rugby Union more than League. There could be many reasons he's leaving if he actually is..I'm sure Ryles will have someone better lined up

        • Well now his role I am not familiar with and how much they do with players. Though I am curious to know if he mishandled Moses in pre-season this year? Moses' foot was a reaggrevation of his broken toe from the screw due to heavy load.

Now I am happy to say I could be way off as that role is out of my field of knowledge to be fair.

          • But you seeded the idea LB.

            • I know i did.
