I'm sure not everyone will agree but in my personal opinion Set Restarts in particular are destroying the game and allowing the referee to basically control the outcome of games. Combine the Set Restarts with diabolical refereeing and bunker calls then the whole fairness of Rugby League has long gone. Seriously today's game was disgraceful refereeing ( yes the Eels made some poor mistakes and the younger players are still learning) but a 10-1 penalty count and not 1 repeat set 🤣. This seems to be a continual report on 85% of refereeing of the Eels games. In my opinion the Eels hierarchy need to speak up about the appalling referee and bunker calls. It's not only the Eels coping it but it seems the lower placed teams get the raw end of the stick. Ricky Stuart isn't afraid of speaking up when things go against his team with refs. About time the Eels did the same or they'll continue to be the NRL doormat team

Resorting to name calling... why such umbridge? Seems I have gotten under your skin again
LB , Ploppa is very selective who he's brave enough to challenge. Two posters can make the exact same post , however he will only jump on the one that the majority are happy to see critisisim directed at.
Notice he hasn't called anyone a Dylan Brown "hater " recently even though 99% of the site have been critical of him ? This time last season he was following me around like my arshole was distributing free Werthers Originals , if I dared say Dylan had a quiet game .
Ploppa is like the sites pub blowfly fighter , that bloke who needs to stand behind the big blokes trying to pick fights with the unpopular guy he knows he'll get backup from the group .
People who work for organizations, companies etc are made up of all types of personalities. It's a known fact that just like the Pommy the Aussie likes a good old fashioned 'whinge' and they're not always stating actual facts in their 'whinging' but most times distorted views or misinformation . I wouldn't read too much into it.
I completely agree Cumberland. Companies have all types and you are right in most cases it is just venting of frustrations. As much as a certain person may think Im too naive to notice or understand this, im well aware of the personal bias that influences information.
For me, when I hear the same thing from multiple facets within an organisation, then Im more inclined that it may hold weight to what is being said. I chose to share, its up to the individual whether there is validity to it or how much they want to read into it.
I appreciate the civility in our discussion
You know whats fascinating, these things coming out after a "big defeat" its like all the grubs decide there is some rotten flesh, so off they go again.
Are you really interested in following Parra or just there for the bags of shit to lie in.
Another attempt to discredit?
Mate Ive kept my mouth shut the majority of the season and lets be honest we've had quite a few big losses this season. Have I jumped up and down screaming about sacking the coach staff? If I have offered anything about players, I have said things that have been after poor performances. I have critiqued MON and R&R and the handling of BAs sacking - even though I agreed his time was up. No no, I have an 'agenda' because I make statements you dont agree with
I guess the fact I want something more from a club other than another wooden spoon means Im a hater.
Seraph, don't stress , after 2 losses Ploppa was out for Ryles blood earlier in the season. He dedicated a whole blog to it. Then we came out and won the St George game ( the Lomax feild goal ) and he pulled his head in..
What a Headline: Insider Spills Beans on How a CEO and Club in 'Shambles' even Advertise for Athletic and Development Performance Coaches on LinkedIn
There's just one thing. All CEOs and NRL clubs (even Storm, Penrith, Roosters) advertise on public job sites like Seek, Sportspeople, LinkedIn or even Jora still posting jobs since 2009.
Check the current NRL Sportspeople listings (not an extensive list for all clubs) to keep up to date with the latest on there.
Sorry HOE, as far as 'white-anting' goes, the people I know are only sharing things with me because they know Im a supporter. It is more like 'how is work going?' Not a 'have I got a scoop for you' situation. They arent going out engaging in corporate espionage and leaking secrets like Plops is trying to insinuate.
Aside from that lets all keep the rose-coloured glasses on.
Im sure those in charge believe they are doing the right thing, whether they are actually correct in their decisions is another thing. But sure lets just focus on throwing out terms like white-ant and parasite.
Also, im sure once JRs time is up we'll strike it lucky and find the next super coach through Seek or LinkedIn. Why go looking for the best when you can cast a wide net and have any and everyone apply
Seraph,
Stating facts that all NRL clubs and CEOs advertise on public jobs sites like Seek, Sportspeople, Link, LinkedIn or Jora is about as "rose-colored" as thinking you live on a Musk Mars Colony.
