I'm sure not everyone will agree but in my personal opinion Set Restarts in particular are destroying the game and allowing the referee to basically control the outcome of games. Combine the Set Restarts with diabolical refereeing and bunker calls then the whole fairness of Rugby League has long gone. Seriously today's game was disgraceful refereeing ( yes the Eels made some poor mistakes and the younger players are still learning) but a 10-1 penalty count and not 1 repeat set 🤣. This seems to be a continual report on 85% of refereeing of the Eels games. In my opinion the Eels hierarchy need to speak up about the appalling referee and bunker calls. It's not only the Eels coping it but it seems the lower placed teams get the raw end of the stick. Ricky Stuart isn't afraid of speaking up when things go against his team with refs. About time the Eels did the same or they'll continue to be the NRL doormat team

You might be right too but there's always 2 sides to every story. Not everything you hear even from people on the inside is always correct.
Thats true too. Im getting the perspective of people that have that first hand experience. Ordinarily I trust their objectivity as they themselves arent Eels or football supporters, they are giving their accounts of what they experience and observe from a professional level. Im not the arrogant type to concede there is always the possibility of bias so who knows

Though we also had similar issue last year. It has only been last month or so where we drop off on the back end, before we used to be better 2nd half team.
Same here Coryn. Friends that work for the org have said numerous things and shambles is the most polite word used.
Ive mentioned things along these lines before and have been labelled a 'hater' lol
He's worked for a Japanese rugby team . Crusaders and nz rugby 7s hardly anything to write home about. If he was so good he would of been snapped up by a better run nrl or rugby team.

Without specifics, the common theme is that there isnt a clear direction across the org - everything is reactionary, there is more focus on perception and social rather than performance, self serving actions rather than working towards the betterment of org as a whole - people looking to build their own profile etc.
Im sure there will be some that will say Im making it up and whatnot, so this will be that last I bring this up
Is that in relation to coaching? As it could be assistants but can't be Ryles as he seems to be consistent in what he wants and the direction. Added to that MON and Sarantinos so far have let him do it too so they must be on board.

In all honesty if our positions were flipped I would also question the validity of information and take what I hear with a grain of salt
