Well that's the thing we more likely play them in Vegas next year. Meaning 4 out of 5 years we play them round 1.

I would prefer to play them round 1 than 6, given the changes they are experiencing, really what difference does it make unless you people are worried about us winning and then being complacent about our second game?

At the end of the day they are an entertainment business. It is true and the way of the sport. Same with the comment that TV runs the league. That is also true and is the reason for where the game is in terms of money.
I do feel though regardless of how the footy is, if not micromanaged by the game to force entertainment, people would still watch. Hey i would love Parra winning all their games even if it was 4-2 score everyweek, as long as we win who cares.
Thing that the NRL noticed over the last few years with pre-season is if footy is on people will watch regardless. As to why now they televise every single pre-season game. So yeah they shouldn't focus on making it entertaining as the game does that on it's own more times than not.
Vegas i 100% agree with. There is no need for it now. Even the NRL have noticed with the idea of moving it to Wembly or other nations as the novelty has died quickly. There is no enthusiasm for it this year, if anything as a viewer it is annoying. The media go with this idea that it grows the game when the NRL have been on record saying they are there for the betting money, Vegas is the biggest gambling market in the world and they want in. First year or two, locals would be curious but now they have seen it and know if they like it or not and then leave it at that. It should have been a two year thing then move on.
If i was the NRL i would have put the 2027 WC in the USA.
