well, worst case, a chance to see how much we have improved in 12 months, gets the storm away game out of the way early. with us playing a few away games to start (as rumours suggest) means we will get a run on home games towards the end of the year which maybe a better outcome for us. get ourselves into the season, get some momentum and then finish strong with home games.
Hopefully we'll be more prepared for them this time around.
Last year watching the preseason I knew we weren't.
think we are getting them at a good time round 1. Missing several names, coming of a GF loss, Katoa most likely missing.
We showed back end last season we have turned the corner.
I mean every year we say "this is where Melbourne fall" and they never do.......but there has been a sort of exodus happening, Bellamy not sure if staying and looks tired. Something at Melbourne at the moment seems a tiny bit off.
Getting Tino will help but yeah something just seems off at Melbourne at the moment. As Poppa said, better getting them off that GF loss then having a poor a start and getting them in Round 6 and they get into form.
