Why do you think he won't? He obviously can't go to R360 now! Boxing or MMA is not him definitely! So the only other options would be Japanese Union ( can't see him lasting too long in that) or Super League or return to Parra which I think is his best option.
The fact he was looking at other options not even 6 months into a 4 year deal probably pissed Ryles off. He'd be happy he's out the door and can use the money on someone who wants to wear the jersey. Just my view on it
It's a tricky situation for ryles and the club, if lomax does want to come back to the NRL and not pursue other options do the eels,
1. Take him back, which would have an element of risk as he might look to get out again in the near future, he has history, done it twice already.
2. Allow him back in the NRL with another club with absolutely no benefit to the eels and having to play against him.
Or 3. Don't allow him back into the NRL and make him suffer the consequences of his actions. This would come across as being mean spirited and severely impact lomax financially which could make the eels a very unfavourable destination for other players.

Not a bad move here but if those who are choosing to go get a chance to up speed there development in the game and it opens the market right up right after a RWC.Players from all over the world looking for a payday.
Do you feel Coryn this could be a sidestep to let the World Cup happen then just scoop the pool full of Rugby players? Instead of getting, i am just spitballing a number for argument sakes, 20 Rugby players pre WC, they could get 150 post WC?
Is that the plan? Maybe too the extra time allows them to actually get things right in terms of finance too. At the moment the NRL have a state of relief, though not in the clear.
"Issue is do you want him back if he has an eye on R360? He would leave with a year left on his deal. And the constant chatter around him going would it be distracting on top of the proposed ban by V'Landys? Could say let him sign early and play out…"
"Travelling has nothing to do with it. He got the offer from R360 and wanted to take it and travel. Thats the info given to me. He had no issues with Parra or Ryles.
Poppa with all due respect, you knock people about the salaries of TDS saying how…"
"Parra fan the way Ryles was so open about him leaving and seemingly calm about it shows he's content on the decision and is in no rush. If he wants to come back maybe all well and good but if we either can't afford him or don't want him he can look…"

he wont be on centre money in a new deal
Of how easily Ryles let him walk, from what I have heard too where he said he was surprised how well Ryles took it, I doubt it.

Who else is there ?
I'd take Lomax back in a heartbeat. NSW, Australian rep players don't come along that often. Not to Parra anyways.
Me too as there's nobody else around
