I would take Lomax back as he is better than any other option at the club or on the market. The risk isn't that Lomax won't be committed or will ruin morale and what Ryles is working on, I think the risk is the circus towards the end of 2027 and lead up to 2028 when R360 comes back but we can deal with that then. Ryles systems should be entrenched throughout our juniors by then giving us more options for players we lose.
R360 will come back a bigger threat than it was this year. I reckon the reason it didn't get up was the upcoming Rugby World Cup and players not wanting to miss out. They are reporting it as lack of money but that is unlikely with Saudi's involved and is more likely R360 not wanting to admit that players wouldn't commit after the top nations said they couldn't compete in the world cup.
Any player who is unlikely to make the rugby world cup 2031 will consider the money and R360 in 2028. Once top rugby players get announced then I think NRL talent will follow as it will have legitimacy. There were more players waiting to see the outcome if the comp got up or not.
As the rugby world cup is in October November 2027, the R360 signing announcements will occur just after November 1 contract negotiations which will cause chaos leading into 2028 with some players pushing for release or walking out on clubs.
I really hope we get our recruitment and retention in order before then, because after top rugby players are announced NRL talent will follow and clubs will have to fill the gaps and raid juniors from clubs like Parra.

"I'm not fussed either way but if doesn't come back we need to sign another experienced outside back, we have zero depth with proven first grade experience. "
