I've been thinking the same thing, we'd be stupid to let him go play for the roosters. He needs to comeback asap and I hope we can get him back and work something out.
Parra fan the way Ryles was so open about him leaving and seemingly calm about it shows he's content on the decision and is in no rush. If he wants to come back maybe all well and good but if we either can't afford him or don't want him he can look elsewhere and we can swap him for a player of need.
He won't just get up and play for the Roosters, if he wants to we need something in return.
.....He also blows goats GM...I mean it's just a rumour....and he claims he never did it, as he does whenever he gets called out for his bullshittery...but he absolutely blows goats...
I think Poppa makes a valid point! I mean people have left NRL and clubs for less reasons than having to travel a long distance. I noticed that Lomax did seem disinterested especially during the Origin period and he did give his all for most of the year especially with Mitch Moses missing so much of the year with injuries. Maybe Lomax just felt the added pressure of trying to carry the team and his goal kicking seemed to go pear shaped. Maybe the travelling didn't help
Pops, Lomax is a loss. He was our Haas with his yardage & grunt. A touch of Coates genius too. I was listening to James Graham last night, and like you he believes letting go of Lomax was a bad move.
For me, it was the Cleary On the Bus line in the sand moment. So, I understand where the club is coming from. Can't knock it. Commitment in sport, life, work, or relationships is a central theme to its success. Hard to ride two horses or more properly at the same time even if you're sexy and desirable.
Let's see what he does next before we assume it's a problem with "Parra". I thought it was him chasing bucks with R360, but that's been delayed. I'd take him back if he was committed to playing with his fighting passion working around his NRL career. I don't think Ryles would stop him doing that as long as he's putting in for the team when he's wearing the jersey.
Issue is do you want him back if he has an eye on R360? He would leave with a year left on his deal. And the constant chatter around him going would it be distracting on top of the proposed ban by V'Landys? Could say let him sign early and play out at Parra but imagine how that goes with this hard stance NRL have on R360? Is it worth the media around him and the club?
LB, Stuff the media, optics, blowbacks, what punters think. If he's committed to playing for us 26-27, yeah, I'd take him back. Let bygones be bygones. Give him another chance. If he leaves in 2028, for R360 so be it. Wish him the best.

💯 I'd have him back in a heartbeat he's too important to us and without any real replacement of that caliber and depth ready to go have the conversation and make it happen.Welcome back Zac.
"The way we finished the season just stopped them laughing right in our faces and Matty is literally paid to babble. A team on the rise, yeah cool, that is not respect and who the fuck is Riccio I mean you can't take any first grade team lightly or…"
