Could well do I mean hence from what I'm hearing here in NZ not many top players are signing long term deals and knee capping there earning potential.IMO this isn't a bad move from R360 if they haven't got there ducks in a row they've given themselves some breathing space to get the mentioned in a row.
I no for a fact in NZ even big name ABs are playing a wait and see game.Especially the ones with limited time left in the game.Coaches the lot.It's all wait and see as they have nothing to lose.The game here honestly is breathing a sigh of relief if you ask me as they now have that same space to lock the key guys up if they can.

R360 could pose a threat down the track. Perhaps, this delay is also about sidestepping the 2027 RU World Cup. A 2028 start gives them a clear four-year RU recruitment window. Can't say I'd be too upset if this whole thing blows away for good one-day.

It had gone quiet on my connection as in he didn't hear from Lomax for a little bit since he last heard he had signed with R360. But now other avenues are opening up like MMA and Boxing. It is a weird one.
Does R360 get off the ground? Who knows now, this delay has lowered to chances perhaps. But what will Lomax do for 2 years maybe 3 if R360 doesn't start til the backend of 2028?
If he tries to return we have his rights as apart of his release. We use it to our advantage in player trade. If Roosters want him as they want everyone, that is fine we will get someone in return worth similar value. If we cannot, no deal is made and Lomax's rights are still at Parramatta. We are actually in a decent position here until 2029.

The really dumb thing here from Paps and Lomax, is that they have no leverage. Their contract value isn't on the cap, so neither Melbourne or Parra have any incentive to allow them to play for another club. Every other player that agitates for a release provides the added bonus of their pay coming off the cap.
If Storm and Eels don't want to release them to another NRL side, they don't have to and it won't hurt their cap.
Paps is free to sign wherever he likes, Eels made sure to put a clause in because Lomax still had 3 years left on his deal. I don't think he'll be coming back to the nrl he can go do mma or fighting or whatever he wants to do lol
I think the storm were happy to accommodate paps with his release as they had a younger player ready to take over.
He wouldn't last in MMA
Pretty tough life and no guarantees in boxing either but maybe he likes being punched in the ring?
