The problem with taking a weak stance is respect is lost which is far more important (and harder to regain) than being appealing which is transient. It's a bit like finding out your missus fucked your best mate but you want to carry on the relationship as if nothing happened just to keep the circle of friends together. It's not too long before word gets around and your friends perceptions of you have forever changed.
I commented in a blog some time ago that we don't have to try and be appealing to everyone, only those who want to be part of our organisation. Part of that is accepting that the majority aren't with us (Zac Lomax being one) and we need to seperate ourselves from those people.

Perceptions are changing, early days but the signs are good. Hop on board mate and enjoy the ride, it's better than whinging and whining about everything the club does.
Is taking him back a weak stance?, it's not as if he left on bad terms, people in the club are probably annoyed he made the decision to go but I doubt there is any animosity.
I agree with what you are saying about the perception of being weak but I don't see taking him back as being weak.
I have been the biggest procrastinator since Lomax left us.....been convinced I am the 2 percent of worried about losing him and I acknowledged something was not right. Even been convinced of being wrong in the strength of my views.
What I do know, which is nothing on the rationality of the situation is that we are not a better team for his absence.
That said I do believe we are a better team with him in than not!
On this basis hopefully he will be encouraged to come back.
I have a feeling he does not like the travelling to Parramatta and it covered up a regret for his original decision.
Whether these new circimstances change that I have no idea BUT we are a better team with him playing and I hope like ANYTHING he changes his mind. The reality is we need him.....he completes a backline that can make us top 4 and there is no comparable player available to us..

I love that you think anyone respects us
