Nelson Asofa-Solomona has turned his back on up to seven NRL clubs interested in his service, quitting the NRL to take up a full-time deal in boxing.
News.com.au can exclusively reveal the NRL’s biggest man has quit rugby league indefinitely to pursue his dream of becoming a heavyweight boxing champion.
The 115kg enforcer has also become the first off-contract player to shun the mega bucks of R360 and also the riches on offer in the English Super League.
The former Melbourne Storm forward has signed a full-time boxing deal and could earn up to $1m a year in his new sport.
Plans are already underway for a rugby league super fight with another high profile NRL behemoth.

A fraud would at least have a resume that had us belive he was qualified for the job. This dudes resume is more suited to NSW cup somewhere, find me a worse resume for a head of recruitment anywhere in the NRL.
The time in roles and the fact he had to go to the local AFL to find work is all you need to focus on. The guys a bum. A few years before we made him " head of recruitment " for what's supposed to be an NRL power club, he was scratching around Western Sydney in a low regional position for the AFL, and was punted.
He is both our Head of Recruitment and Souffs List Manager.

Kolommatangi is a great buy but Eels need a replacement for Lomax more importantly
I doubt we've locked up Kolomatangi. I'm confused on why we haven't bought a winger and a centre Ryles stated that's the important recruitment. And yes if we do get KK we got him in 27, we need players for 26 atm it's looking slim and we running on the paddock with the same blokes but more weaker with no lomax and maybe relying on a junior. I'm so confused as a fan at the moment on who our targets are. We playing for youth or old or never chase the superstars. Really concerning.
