Nathan Brown

Yes he is close to our best forward and has been for a few years. But do you think our forwards play better without him? It seems he takes 2 runs every set and the other guys can't get into the game. It's just an observation and I hope he kills and adds to an already strong pack but I've just noticed more consistent performances from the other guys when he's out

  • He sets the line speed for us and is the aggressor of our pack.

That been said i would start him off the bench next week to ease him back and to reward Marata

    • 😁👍

  • Cyborg kno how to play footy and thankfully he does this for us.

  • Nathan Brown has of late become a liability to the Eels side because he's always finding himself suspended every month for a couple of weeks. He needs to tone down his aggression and use more skills.

  • I'd have to concur with Poppa on this topic. Someone disagrees with a post and are immediately labelled with having no idea. Half the team know or say something about Brown claims the writer knows the thoughts of every player.

as said in a previous post Brown is a great problem for the coach to have. Evans, who has improved massively, and Brown bring great aggression to the pack.

  • I commented on this when the season started. He's got a bit of the Gallen's about him. He does have a tendency to overcall the ball and it can kill the momentum in attack. It's a small issue easily fixed but it is an issue that needs addressing.

    • That's the point, it is a small issue. Yes it does need addressing, but having a player who wants to be involved is not a bad thing, it just needs to be tempered.

  • These new rules suit aggressive forwards with big motors who play big minutes.

Nathan Brown will kill it when he's back, he loves running the angle back in behind the play the ball exactly what destroys defensive units with the six again rule.

look at blokes like Finucane since the rule change and how much more dangerous a ball runner he seems at the back end of halves close to the line. The Browns, Mcguires , Trbojevics, Murray's and Radleys are the perfect backrowers under these conditions.

  • On defense alone he starts for any nrl club. Defense wins chips.

    • Maybe some clubs. Not for those Successful clubs. Storms & East.

I totally agree with your comments regarding the importance and benefits regarding local juniors at discounted rates, however,  this is only a factor with their 1st contract if they show promise.  Once a player starts showing they have regular…"

"We definitely need Lomax more than we need Grieg. Plus I back BA to develop gun forwards if we need to. We already have amazing forwards coming through our Matt, SG and Flegg team."
