I like the South end, Coolangtta area. Not even sure if it's classed as the Gold Coast ? But that's the bit of that strip I could relocate to. As I said, Brissy is ok for the food and grog scene , but no different to anywhere else . It's simply caught up to civilisation which doesn't mean it's now a hotspot.
Your point on fairweather fans is exactly why we are bigger than them.
Eels, Dogs and Souths are the biggest fan bases in Sydney. When Dogs and Souths were awful in early 2020's and 2000's respectfully, fans were nowhere to be seen. i even had some mates who were Dogs fans supporting a 2nd team.
We got three spoons in 6 years, 2012-2018, you still saw Parramatta fans out and about. Particularly in my area which is Wests Tigers heavy.

True, i feel our loyalty is stronger than any Sydney club, perhaps of any club. Those years where we got back to back spoons i still saw endless amounts of Eels fans out and about.
And look how much contempt the club treat us with . Imagine we had a club that rewarded such loyalty. Supporting Parramatta gives me an insight into what's it's like being a Albanese supporter.
