I'm seeing a lot more than normal for this time of year extra discounts on Eels merchandise snd wondering could it be because we have a new apparel partnership next year or could it just be because we have new jerseys designs and merch coming out next year

I think we'd be celebrating it regardless if it was our last premiership, or if we won it more recently. At the end of the day we're recognising the guys that did the hard work and won the comp. There's no shame in that and they deserve every accolade.
I knew that was going to happen. We usually change designs every 2 years and when I saw our heritage jersey I thought "bet this is our home jersey moving forward"
Though I love our current home jersey, the heritage is nice too.
Where are the best discounts at guys?
Whomever dresses our team in the future I'd favour all yellow as home kit and for away games all sky blue, and just plain with no old Addidas stripes to adorn them and spoil the look.
We wore the sky blue in 1996 at home against Manly and looked brilliant. We also won that one off promotional game for a chockolate company thanks to our 'hitman' Peter Johnston who took out no less than 3 opponents by using his melon.
I don't think the manufacturer really matters, our merchandise has been pretty average for a long time although I think Macron did lot better then some previous companies.
All the big companies have corporate attitudes which means plenty of meetings by people with no idea approving shit designs. We have seen with James how simple designs are usually the best but somehow they keep coming up with ways to stuff it up.
The only issue with Macron, according to a lot of sport stores, is they are slow getting their supply out in time and usually only small supply.
Hopefully we see the end of the piss yellow strip.
I hope not Wiz, as the all yellow gear stands out, looks different and helps us to recognise the 'good guys from the enemy.
I know liking colours is subjective but to me the all yellow (or gold) strip is a breath of fresh air compared to our past kit showing those ancient stripes that most clubs present. Did you see our different look of all sky-blue in '96, be honest, wasn't that a fresh and exciting look.
I feel we're on a upwards climb now and along with winning more games, the sight of us in all Sky Blue or all Gold, competing strongly, will only encourage more interest in the Eels.
Are you talking about that one-off M&M strip 😂😂
Yes Mutt, I couldn't recall the name of the confectionary but thats it.
I'd forgotten how loose were our jumpers then and that photo doesn't flatter it but I remember being thrilled by the sight of our mob in that strip.
Our hitman won us the game (we were underdogs V Manly) by using his head.
