Eels Blogs

This is a football blog because it is hypothetically happening on the Magic Weekend Round!

Are you as moral as you think you are?
This test only has one question, but it's a very important one.
By giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally.
The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision.
Only you will know the results, so remember that your answer needs to be honest.

THE SITUATION:
You are in Queensland, Suncorp Stadium
There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding.
You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster
You're trying to shoot career-making photos......Bill shorten has flown in for a photo opportunity.....he loves a disaster!
There are footballs, kicking tees, and other things swirling around you, some disappearing under the water.

THE TEST:
Suddenly you see a man in the water.
He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down with the debris.
Somehow the man looks familiar.
You suddenly realize who it is.
It's Bill Shorten !! and two accountants trying to explain the costings for labour's upcoming "spendathon".
At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him and them under forever.

YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:
You can save the life of Bill Shorten or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the death of one of the countries most most powerful men hell bent on destruction, union power and destroying everyone's way of life!

THE QUESTION:
Here's the question, and please give an honest answer.

"Would you select high contrast color film, or would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?"                 Answer.......................................................

Think carefully and then breathe normally, the disaster is over and Parra beats Melbourne that night......one minutes silence for the two accountants who are actually Forest Rangers down to count the Black Throated Finch......a mistake easily made under the circumstances when your determined to never let the facts spoil the story.

God Save the  Parramatta Rugby League team because nobody will save Bill Shorten.......Gough Whitlam once said something similar....but he had values.

  • I've had enough headlines in my life and would leave it up to a labor supporter.

  • Why do I have a feeling of deja vu Poppa? Didn't you do this previously?

  • In answer to your advertisement for the Liberal coalition I would save Bill Shorten as he will be the next Prime Minister

  • What about the two accountants?

    • Well if they didn't realise that the black throated finches were too important, why should we save Shorten, after all whats best for the environment? accountants or finches.

  • it wasn't suited the first time I ran it. Super deleted before it had a chance, he suggested it was too one sided.

I thought i would ease the bias with this one!

  • Where's the bar in relation to all this happening?  Vital information needed prior to answering.

  • What an interesting question. Not biased in anyway!  A political statement that the author, no doubt, thinks is witty and insightful. I would save a drowning person without thought about their politics.

Both sides of politics have their pluses and minuses. Both Morrison and Shorten are men of intregrity who want to make Australia a better place to live in. Both the Liberals and Labor have achieved some great things for this country.

Unfortunately some people have a blinked view only wanting to discuss issues with others who confirm their bias. That is not how you advance your knowledge or beliefs. It only serves to increase intolerance and division.

    • Well I didn't expect a serious response Elvis but I was interested in the sort of reaction I may get with regard to polarisation. I love Elvis by the way.

I actually voted for Whitlam, Hawke and Keating and much to my disgust Rudd in 2007. I also voted for same sex marriage and am basically am a middle of the road liberal.

I see this upcoming election as the most dangerous I have ever witnessed. I believe we are having a takeover of sorts through the Greens, Trade Union's the education and justice systems, and that's not even going to the political correctness world and Get Up.

I don't know any people with the exception of some rusted on Labour supporters who are equally not terrified of a conglomerate  of those representatives. Most certainly in the lets say more mature age groups of over 55 but also a lot of professional small business people in their early 40's.

You have been around a while it is interesting you can't accept cynacism with regards to politics.....your response with regards to a drowning man indicates that you don't drink, don't sing (your profile page) and probably don't laugh.....what a shame you live such a safe existence......must  be a bit boring in the Elvis household.
