How bad are the Cowboys?

It seems all teams north of the border are struggling big time. However, the Cowboys are terrible! Good opportunity to beat the Rorting Roosters and they blow it with diabolical defence and attack. So much for their big name players. I reckon Paul Green might get the flick.

  • They were rubbish in that second half. They went OK in the first half and if Drinkwater knew how to catch a pass they could have had a chance at going in to half time in front. Why you would take a player into a game carrying an injury is beyond me. As good as Jason T is I don't think any forward is worth a million a year it just leaves you lacking money in your spine plus forwards tend to get injured more often than backs. Whatever they are paying Holmes is wasted money too.

    • Holmes was the biggest waste of money. So over-rated. He was great on the wing in a premiership-winning Sharks team. I think the Cowboys fell for the NFL hype.

The Cowboys are now suffering from having one of the all-time greats in their team. They were so reliant on him that they are falling to pieces now without him. It will be interesting to see if this happens to Melbourne soon after Cam Smiths retirement.

      • Ha !!! Melbourne will never want him to retire . The Storm bus will pick up Cameron Smith from his aged care village in later years to transport him to the ground every match day so he can keep playing .

        • Holmes has gone from Sydney, to USA then to Townsville.

Never going to work. Very similar story and circumstances to Hayne.

      • Yeah, they'll come back a bit more, but they won't fall off a cliff, their systems are just too strong, and they still have Cam Munster.

    • Holmes is also on a million a year 🤦‍♂️

  • They were directionless and rudderless. Had plenty of chances to do something last night.

I just don’t understand how Paul Green has kept his job. He has always had a good side with a fair share of SOO players.

When cows lost JT they lost their chief footy brain, coach and  motivator as well...left Paul green exposed for the coach motivator he is.

cant believe this is the same club that sacked Graham Murray.

  • Could cowboys have found a weakness in the Roosters armour last night?two tries behind the markers off a quick play the ball five out.Hopefully  BA and Mahoney take note .

    • Yes, good point Eggy. Want a job up Townsville way?

I see it either being a close game with Parra winning or us winning by over 12 points."

I totally agree with your comments regarding the importance and benefits regarding local juniors at discounted rates, however,  this is only a factor with their 1st contract if they show promise.  Once a player starts showing they have regular…"
