Have we been dudded again

Melbourne losing has us playing Melbourne ranked 1 in Melbourne then should we win Roosters ranked 2 while manly ranked 6 play Souths ranked 3 then Raiders ranked 4 if they win. In my mind Eels ranked 5 should be playing the lowest ranked loser Souths.  Am I right or am I being as dumb as supermaneel.

  • Probably correct but as you well know the NRL  will do anything to stop the Eels

  • Muttman raised this in another blog. I guess they have a fixed schedule ie. 1v4, 2v3 etc , but I don't see why they can't keep the following weeks as a highest ranked winner plays lowest loser etc.

    • Didn’t see it but doesn’t matter everything been said in another blog.

  • Uhmmm, to you last question? Is that even possible.

  • It's a fixed schedule, but I hate the second chance, always have. All playoffs should be sudden death IMO.

If you want to give the top 2 an advantage, then make copy the NFL playoff format.

    Week 1

    1st & 2nd bye

    3rd v 6th

    4th v 5th.

    No second chances

    • I also think that at this stage games should be at a neutral ground losers don’t deserve a home ground advantage.

    • I dont mind the old top 5 system, which can be top 7 - Bronx had no right to be in this finals series

given they have lost more games than they have won

  • no system is perfect, I think we are getting the storm at the best possible time

Karma will be sweet come saturday night, I cant wait!!

    • I’m just having a whinge old age pensioners do that lots.

      • lol slugg I think once you drop a game you have no advantage

we need to reward teams that win imo

"The principle of relative velocity remains the same Monto.

Slugg replied to Wile E. Coyote's discussion The forward pass and public/media perception
"The pass was called forward so it was forward even if it wasn't forward. The defence heard the call and dropped off. So the media can get stuffed. "

Brett Allen replied to Brett Allen's discussion Is the 8 already decided ?
"I did the ladder predictor on NRL.com, the top 4 were the Eels & Raiders on 32, The Roosters & Melbourne on 30, Manly on 28, the Panthers on 27, the Knights on 23, and then Souths squeaked in on 18, with the Tigers finishing their usual 9th spot on…"
