As I've said on a number of occasions there is only so long that forwards can "punch above their weight". He's certainly not big for a prop, and when you run that hard into two or three blokes who are significantly bigger than you, you're going to take a pounding. Matagi is really the guy you have taking that second or third hitup working off the back of a big bopper who takes you over the advantage line early in the set. We never had that bloke, so he was just set up for punishment at our club, unfortunately. It's the same with Timmy. Poor guy took more headshots than any player deserves to take, and that just comes down to him having to play above his weight every game.
He was never the prop we needed to win a competition. He should never have been signed for more than one year, the same goes with garbage guts Vave.
