Game day blog - Roosters vs Eels

I think we're all looking forward to this match after the previous game between these two teams.

If I were Dylan Brown, I'd be scrubbing the target off my forehead just prior to the game and hoping that it doesn't reappear! There was little said in the media after our win against the chooks last game and all the media dribble was about how undermanned they were and how tough they were etc. Absolutely nothing about how be busted them through the middle and out muscled them. Nope...nothing.

We see Jake Arthur line up at half again which I'm actually not opposed to, but he really needs to improve his long kicking game in Moses' absence. I thought that he improved last week, but some of his kicks were junior league standard. We'll see how he goes...

The chooks have a few out as well, but I don't particularly care and no doubt if we win, it will again be all about how tough and resilient they were being so undermanned. They still had 8 rep players on the field against us last time including the world's best player at fullback.

Can we get our tough end of season run going tonight, or will we see a steady decline down the ladder at the back end of the season?

So, who wins and by what margin?

MOM?

    • Eels by 16 (more because I'd like that, less becuase I think it).
    • MOM Matto - hopefully playing like 2 rounds ago and against an old club.
    • Trent Sookinson to fill the TV screen with his bee sting face post-match crying about Teddy-poo being tackled.
    • Good chance of a sin bin or 2 for us.

    Well we know the roosters will lay all over us and will be offside to get up and shut us down. This happens most weeks. Instead of doing the same thing against that type of ploy is like to see how we adjust and try and get around it. If we can then we will win. I'm not sure how you would do it. There are smarter people here that would know more. I just see what's not working

    JA to improve that lil bit again and have his best game to date . Eels by 1 from a JA feild goal on the full time whistle and everyone to rush out and buy Jake undies tomorrow .
