Game day blog - Eels vs Raiders

G'day guys. I'll start off by saying that this week's blog will be very brief as I am having that consistent and very frustrating problem of only being able to read the front page of blogs and writing a post only for it to vanish somewhere into cyberspace. So, I am writing this on my shitty phone on what is a problematic and shitty platform...

Tonight we see the boys up against pRicky's Raiders who have shocked the world with 2 wins on the trot and reverberations so strong they apparently were even felt across in the UK where when felt, the queens underpants fell down. Furthermore, in the states president Biden got his first half Mongrel, such was the level of shock in response to the two wins in a row.The Eels are coming off a convincing win against the Tits and should be up for this and should win well. We see Moses on the sidelines again whilst Opacic and the Dumpster have been put on the kerb. Junior's back along with Fungerson and I'll be very interested to see how the latter goes. JA gets another shot at receiving slightly less abuse which will bode him well for the future. So, who wins and by what margin?MOM?

    • We're not a Top 2 Team. Teams 3-6 (Rabbits, Roosters, us, Manly) are all on the same tier. We can all turn up and play amazingly, and all play bog average too.

  • Second rate attack, too reliant on kicks - we lack polish and do things super slow nothing deliberate or precise. The team looks great when they play short and offload pushing up behind the ball, Locky mentioned our attack is predicable and won't be a threat come finals time.

  • We can't beat sides when they're in our face. Dragons and Manly were able to work that out. Surely Arthur has the brains to work out an alternative plan. Actually he does not.

  • If you needed any proof as to how much we need Mitchell Moses, it was tonight. We win that game with Mitch.

    • On a positive, thought D.Brown has stepped up a gear and has been more involved

    • Disagree, our attack is scattered and predicable and that includes MM, we have enough players with skill that can create opportunities. The difference was not MM tonight

      • He's provided 21 try assists this season.

But it wasn't just that. As much as Brown stepped up tonight, Moses' kicking game is next level. He just pins the opposition back. We didn't quite have that tonight.

        • It showed how much our game plan relies on Mitch's long kicking game. We had to do too much one out running from our own end and never got out of the arm wrestle.

        • With 59% possession and so much good ball ball our attack is really pedestrian and its not the first time

  • I think Penisi is a better option than Waga for centre,.Fergo was good. and should be there next week barring injury, Arthurs kicking game was very good except for one. Dylan played very well.I would like him and Arthur to commit a defender before they pass. I think Mahoney also maybe needs to do that as well. as Cook.  does. The barging plays are ok, for part of the game. We need more set plays to create space. Rabbits do it very well in the red zone. We need to do something similar.

"Its not just the coach/BA issue and same with the players. The position the club is in ATM, is not good, and  Gutho spray to Opi is not a good sign, it shows that there is tension in the whole team, which if not addressed by all in the club, all the…"
