It’s time!!
Footy is back and not only that, our beloved eels are up first. It’s been a looooong off season of very average cricket (excluding the women’s WC) and the
eels have named a very strong team, probably the most balanced team in years.
The Dogs go into this game with recent off field turmoil and two regular starters down. How / will this affect them? We all hope so, but I’m sure BA and the boys won’t be taking any notice of this and will be wary of a very strong opponent.
So, who wins and by what margin? Who will get man of the match honours?
I’ll say Eels by 10 and Moses MOM.

Mahoney needs to take them on from dummy half after any fast play the balls and look for Gutho in support.
I hope we don't think we're going to go around the dogs defence ,play straight , run through them not at them and challenge their defence back on the inside and short kicks in behind the line cause them all sorts.
Completely agree. We've got to go through them with quick play the balls. We're trying to set up big plays to create gaps and the Dogs are awake to everything we're doing. Defensively the Dogs are very well drilled. You won't get them with mis-reads.
We need to play the momentum game and go through them. Do that and they'll open up.
