The Eels are keeping up their search for a rugged prop to add to their arsenal for next season.

Their latest target? Tigers hit man ‘Jesse’ Sauaso Sue.

The problem is, the Tigers have Sue under contract for 2018 - and have told the Eels he is not up for sale.

The Eels are still in the hunt for Panthers’ ball-playing prop Leilani Latu, who is being shopped around despite denials from the Penrith camp.

Newcastle are favoured to add Latu to their pack for next season at this stage.

Latu played for the Newcastle All Blacks in the Koori Knockout last year - perhaps some links here.

Gee, if Sue is an improvement on our current props it isn't by much. Latu would be a much better get.

Latu would totally transform our pack, big but with plenty of skill thats being totally wasted at the Panthers.

So now every man and his dog wants to play for Nathan Brown at Knights? i thought BA was "the people's" coach?

lol Brett people on here for ages have been talking up BA as a coach people want to play for.  Those at TCT will have you believe half the off contract players in the comp want to come and play for BA.  The fact is he has never signed anyone of note for unders.  All his best buys are guys who have come looking for a chance like Guth and Brown and Gower.

A few people being a bit rough on Timmy. Lets not forget he has no support up front. He has carried the forwards for several years now. If he has a another specialist prop helping him he will perform much better.

Go Tim Mannah. Don't listen to what anyone says. You're the best prop in the game.
