Parramatta is attempting to prise Jack Howarth out of Melbourne, just months after the Storm refused to release him as part of a proposed swap for Zac Lomax.
Howarth is contracted to Melbourne until the end of next year, but the club has permitted him to explore his options for 2027. His availability has piqued the interest of incoming franchises Perth and PNG, although the Eels appear to be his most likely destination.

Lolllll fmd. Ea thinking we're after John Howard lol
Laugh with me EA laugh we've been laughing for years about Russell don't lose that sense of humour now 😂
Russel's attack has gone backwards this year. Havent seen him execute a catch and pass this year. Howarth wont help with this imo. He was actually embarked to be a backrower in his junior grades. I am not person that likes to sign players that have been intentionally released by Storm. I still got no idea what is the go with W Pensini? If Simmo is fit, I think he deserves one centre spot with Kelly & Fox on the wing.
I'll say this we've had some really bad centres over the years unspectacular with Russell being the end game.I've watched us go to a GF with Tom Opacic at centre I watched this team recruit Morgan Harper I've watched painfully over the years Ryan Morgan play the position even Joel Reddy painful watches so when we get Jack Howarth I'm almost immune as to who we've had worse in comparison. The position has had some real gems put on the blue n gold over the years and I don't mean GEM in a good sense 😂
Apart from myself, the best centres we had were Jamie Lyon and Timana Tahu.
Unfortunately no one else have come close.
Tahu was special. If only lyon stayed
And Cronin of course.
The crow???
Inu wasnt elite, but would happily take a player of his quality.
Jennings was pretty good after the spoon but not sure if that was because of the peds
