Eels confirm re-signing of Dylan Brown

The Parramatta Eels Club is pleased to announce Dylan Brown has agreed to terms on a three year contract. He will remain with the Eels until the end of the 2023 NRL season.

A talented half back, Dylan made his NRL debut in round 1 of the 2019 season after joining the Eels as a 16 year old from New Zealand.

Mark O’Neill, Parramatta Eels Club General Manager of Football said, “The signing of Dylan Brown aligns with our development club philosophy and we’re extremely proud of the person and player he has become today. We’re excited about the future ahead for our Members and fans."

Dylan progressed through the Parramatta Eels Elite Junior Pathways system, he played in Parramatta’s SG Ball squad. He later debuted for the Eels in the Under 20s team in 2017, before making his NRL debut in 2019.

      • You started already brain fart.

  • Well said Lurker, beat me too it!

  • But but O Neil & BA don't know what they are doing..

But but the Eels can't keep juniors...

But but Brown wants to go back to NZ...

    Have I missed any?

    • Nope, Parra just matched the price.

      • Which is the way to do it. Find the market, match it.

  • Good result.

  • Im Glad he has re-signed but fuck me that is way overs IMO. around 500k would be fair but i guess we didnt really have an option. 650k is ALOT for a half who hasnt even completed one full season of NRL. Let's all hope for our premiership hopes that he remains injury free and continues to improve under the guidance of johns otherwise we may be screwed salary cap wise.

    • He is worth whatever the market rate is. There was significant interest from other clubs, so that needs to be taken into account.

      • Ponga hadn't played a first grade game and got 600k a couple of years ago. Brown has shown good signs, has a year up his sleeve and is a play maker.Sounds overs but seems fair TBH.
