What makes people make these comments? My understanding is that the business connection is the real reason for the massive St George signings and David Anderson is the front man for all this.....i.e. it doesn't mean if Anderson came back to Parra that he would have achieved the same.....is that hard to understand???
David Anderson was a bit of a victom at Parra and many people say he was/is a great bloke and of course he had that terrible accident.....all said and done he is doing very well now in his present digs. Cant we let him enjoy that without going off in temper tantrums of why we didn't do it?
Final point on the "demographic" the name St George is probably transferable in so many ways as is the "Dragons". Entering a world of franchises, which is what Rugby league Teams are heading into (look at the new $100m entry fee? being espoused). It should be worth noting that this club is now representative of the Illawarra or south of Cronulla and as a future franchise, effectively driven by a media company, this is a very astute spend demographically.
