Joel K, Thanks. You also heard Anasta say Kaeon signed $1.2m for five on the cap. I heard the same from very solid sources.
You don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to see why he went to the Dragons.
Anasta isn't Kalooamatangi's agent, so not sure why his opinion of a deal he's no part of trumps every other media outlet & journalists information.
But, both Cap and I were purely asking as to see / hear what he said about it.
No one is arguing why he signed with the Dragons, no need for the insults - it's either an extra year at 1m per season or the 1.2m if Anasta got this correct on the podcast, and wrong himself on NRL360, and every other media outlet & journo for this wrong the entire time.
If it's 1.2m, along with Metcalf & Drinkwater, there might be an opportunity to target some of the Dragons younger pack.
Regardless, all good, no point continuing this one.
The dragons will be much higher on the ladder than Parramatta regardless of what' keon is earning. Their development program is light years ahead of us. Their pack is full of young future stars, and with their recent signings fans can feel comfortable and hopeful.
Parramatta on the other hand have a badly beaten pack with nobody putting pressure on from reserve grade at this moment. And only Sua coming in.
We have no centres. No five-eighth, and one good development prop in Sam Tuivaiti who can negotiate in November - happy days under O'neill and Rodgers
The Dragons pack does look very good doesn't it.
The key might be how Metcalf works out, as they desperately need a 7?
Let's hope they don't target Ryles next, with his illawarrra links, it wouldn't surprise.
If dragons can fix their outside backs and get a good coach, I recon they will challenge for the 8 next year. Gutho and Holmes at centre is cooked. Atkinson and Metcalf in the halves with Reed and LKT still developing. Drinkwater at fullback. Liddle at 9 with Watson apparently coming too. Forward pack all have great potential. Just their 2-5 are shit
I reckon they'll retire Gutherson and someone said they'll offer him something in coaching.

Chief, you also said dragons would be better then us when they recruited Cook, Gutho and Holmes when we relied on younger players so how did that turn out for you. You don't have a very good record with predictions and your credibility on recruitment and development was destroyed when you posted a blog about Parra recruiting old injury prone players like Sua who is only 28yo. Somehow linking an injury for a player not even at the eels to poor management. If 28yo players are injury prone and bad recruiting why is Koloamatangi a good signing for saints offering hope?
