* Includes team list Tuesday discussion.
With so much anticipation surrounding the return of the NRL and the mighty Eels starring in the first game back after an untimely and catastrophic interruption to the season, I thought I'd post a game day blog a few days in advance. I'm sure our passionate supporter base won't mind.
How good is it that team list Tuesday is almost here and adding to this, the ratings for this game will be absolutely phenomenal!
We will of course be without Nathan Brown however, we have all other players on deck and available for selection, including Mahoney by all reports.
This game has been a long time coming and should see a global audience. Master stroke V'landys!
It will be a tough trip up to QLD and the Broncos will no doubt be very ready for this. Lodge will be on fire if he is available and I'm looking forward to the battle up front against the young, but very talented Broncos pack.

I'm looking forward to watching the new rules play out and the one ref, change.

The new rules really suit the way the Broncos play. Them and the Panthers with koroisau will be the biggest beneficiaries of a fast paced ruck.
Having said that , the Broncos without Pangai Jnr and Fifita are forced into carrying a very ordinary bench.
If Parra can go with them early , even manage a small lead we'll run over the top of them. Their bench simply won't be able to maintain enough quality football for the donkeys to maintain a strong 80 minute effort against a side in Parra , which for the first time in decades lacks any real footballing deficiencies outside of spine experience .
The Eels need to learn to attack through the middle especially now in regards to the new laws and continue to work on their defence , particular when numbering up on the quick shifts. Outside of that they are now a hard team to formalise a game plan against.
Eels by 10.
Without Brown, that terrier like defensive war horse is missing. Hopefully Matto can stand up and cover for at least a portion of Brown's work ethic. He has similar lateral movement ability.
Good to see that you waxed before making that little gif Grunta.

We’re lucky to have TPJ out while Brown’s out, otherwise they might have a bit too much muscle and aggression for us. But I think BUP nailed it... Their bench is pretty rank.
They only have 2 strike weapons playing Thursday that worry me... Haas and Staggs.
Croft has changed their team for the better so it won’t be like last year, but I’m confident the balance throughout our team has them covered to win by 8 points.
As long as we muscle up and be ready to grind the win out, our talent and depth will win the second half for us.
Bring. On. The. Footy!!!
