I realise that interest in cricket is on the wane due to trials getting closer, but I know there are a few tragic test cricket die hards on here.
I'm a bit late but still earlier than Brett Allen!
Australia lost the toss...again. That's 7 out of the last 8 coin tosses Paine has lost.
SL now 4/58 with debutant Richardson having taken 2 key wickets fromf SL's big 3. His BBL form has so far carried to test cricket and seems one hell of a bowler.
A couple of other debutants in the squad and I'm looking forward to seeing how they go...a bit like the possible Eels team named for round 1.
Great to see some new, exciting young talent being given the nod.
Go you Aussies!!!

Lyon getting some serious spin and already has a wicket.
Richardson another wicket. That's 3.
This young man may get a 5 for or better in his first test.
We finally found opposition we might score 350+. Sri Lanka are really weak without Mathews and Herath.
Let's just keep in mind than since the sandpaper gate scandal no Aus batsman has scored a single test century.
Why Wade is not in this team is beyond me.
Incorrect. Usman scored one in the UAE against Pakistan.
Thanks for the correction.
So 1 century in almost 12 months.
Smashing it!
I cannot understand Wade not getting a batting position either, Parra fan. I guess they overlook Short, Wade and the like for the one dayers, so being named in the test team is a big stretch.
So just because I stated a fact all of a sudden that means I think we are killing it.
Our batting sucks, plain and simple but if you take Kohli and Pujara out of the Indian team we probably win. It sucks that our two best batters happen to be the ones who got suspended. Every team around the world will struggle badly without their two best and most experienced batsmen. We have a serious lack of batsme knocking on the door which doesn't help either.
Harris, Head and Richardson look like they are up to it and with more experienced players around them hopefully will continue to improve.
I think there's a couple of players hard done by and that is Maxwell and Wade in the test squad and Short for the one day squad.
Winning a toss would be nice for once as well.
To be honest interest in Australia v Sri Lanka Test matches in Aussie conditions has never been that high because the poor old Sri Lankan’s are no chance. Different story over there of course on those dust bowls they call pitches.
All pitches are fair. It's what the home advantage is about. That's how I see it.
I agree.
The Inians had never beaten us on home soil in a test match series but just did, so anything is possible here. They have gravel roads they call pitches as well.
8/106...
So far so good.
